Nice review! 🤙 Would you say they're comparable to the Xodus Ultra 1? I like max cushion shoes and don't think the Peregrines will work for me. Thanks.
@Run4Adventure Жыл бұрын
They actually feel very different to the Xodus Ultra. The midsole is deeply cushioned but I'd say the Xodus Ultra feels more comfortable and you've got more ground feel. Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏😊

@Run4Adventure Жыл бұрын
I'd say for £50 they are definitely worth it Dyto. However there where some production issues with early pairs and the durability wasn't great so I'd make sure they're not a pair of the faulty ones 👍 Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙏

Would be interested in a comparison with the Xodus. Personally got a smoking deal on the Xodus 10 and was very surprised how much I enjoyed them and started to pick them over the Speedgoat 4’s for my long days. Cheers from Canada

I've been eyeing the exodus as well. My favorite trail shoe of all time is the mad river tr and the idea of a max cushioned version is very appealing. If the exodus can be that. Salomon, peregrines, hokas, etc. The mad river just crushes them all. I think I'm about to try my first Altra, but very concerned about grip and durability. I'll probably just buy more mad rivers.

Great video Loyd as usual. Not sure about the shoe. I kinda hoped for a turbo version of the Peregrine. Maybe the mk 2 will fit the bill.

What is strength of the upper like Lloyd as I lived saucony peregrines and eventually gave up on them two years ago because the uppers always began to tear after about 100 miles. I am using Inov8 G flys now but they are a bit heavy.. are these lighter ?
@Run4Adventure3 жыл бұрын
The upper construction looks pretty good on the Endorphin Trail but it's a heavy shoe, it's only 15 grams lighter than you Inov8's 😔 The new Peregrine 11 upper is a lot better than the upper on a two year old model of the shoe. Was it the ISO Peregrine you had? That had a really poor upper on it and it didn't last 5 minutes! Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel it's appreciated 🙏😊

Surely if they're running that hot in the summer they also wont drain well in the winter? Im a Saucony fan boy but i think i'll give these a miss for a while. I'll stick to the Peregrine for now.
@Run4Adventure3 жыл бұрын
I don't think they'll be a drainage issue in the winter but obviously I won't know until I get some really wet conditions Marc 🤔 If you're enjoying the Peregrines I'd definitely stick with those 👍 Thanks for watching!

My highest stack trail shoe is 30mm in the heel and that’s for ascents. Like the outsole, same as lots of Salomon tread, power trac is great in all conditions. Seems more like Ankle Roll tech when it’s that high though. More like an all weather urban hiker or camping shoe, I’ll stick with the Peregrine, better shoe. Can never fault Saucony on quality or construction, just not for me. Nice thing about PEBAX is you don’t need the stack to get the comfort. Great review.🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
@Run4Adventure3 жыл бұрын
Cheers David, really glad you enjoyed the review 👍 It actually does feel pretty stable and grounded for a deep midsoled trail running shoe. I've run in lots of deeply cushioned trail shoes and the Endorphin Trail has to be the most connected underfoot 😊 You're right though the Peregrine is a great shoe! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel its really appreciated 🙏

What do you think is the best peregrine 11 or endorphin?
@Run4Adventure3 жыл бұрын
They are such different shoes it's hard to compare them Scott. I'm a big fan of the Peregrine 10 and 11. It really depends what you're looking for in a shoe? The Peregrine will give you more connection and ground feel but if you want deep cushioning then the Endorphin will do that 👍 Both good shoes but I'd say the Peregrine is the better allrounder. Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏

Given that I really don't like my Peregrine 10s, I'll stick with my SG4s. The one I'm waiting to try is the Salomon Ultra Glide. It won't be long before thoughts turn to winter grip, I have Wendover Woods 50 in Nov and Arc 50 next year. eek
@wittgenstoned3 жыл бұрын
I've been running almost nothin besides the peregrines but wanted to try something different and got a pair of ultra glides. While I don't trust their grip the same way I do my peregrines, I'm stoked about them. Cant recommend highly enough, even if I'll still be running my peregrine st's any time it's seriously muddy.

I've been impressed with the Ultra Glides so far Ian. It fits my foot shape really well, has a nice level is cushioning underfoot but you still feel connected to the trails. It was terrible conditions when I ran the Serpent 50k and the grip performed really well, totally agree that the Peregrine offers a bit more traction but the grip from the Ultra Glide is pretty good 👍 Maybe wait for the SG 5 that should be out in December 'ish 🤔 Thanks for watching and supporting as always 🙏

@Run4Adventure3 жыл бұрын
That's a shame Paul 😔 The Pulsar is a very different shoe compared to the Endorphin Trail! First of all it's about the third of the weight of the Endorphin, but it wont give you a lot of underfoot protection. Thanks for watching and I hope the Pulsar works well 🙏😊

Most reviews I've seen have been similar to yours, a bit disappointed, not terrible, but not really what people were hoping for with the "Endorphin" name. Be interested to see what they do for v2. I know they're quite different in a lot of ways, but which would you go for if you had to choose one, the Endorphin Trail or the Salomon Ultra Glide?
@Run4Adventure3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm hoping a few tweaks are made in the next version because then I think it'll be a good shoe 👍 I'd go for the Salomon Ultra Glide at the moment. It offers a lot of similar things but its a lighter, more responsive shoe 😊 Thanks for watching Stuart 🙏

Tried a pair of these on in a shop today - they're like monster trucks for your feet! I liked the Speedroll feature, which felt even more pronounced to me than it is in my Speeds, but they just felt so heavy and clumpy. I put them next to a pair of Inov8 Trailfly and the Sauconys looked like they'd been blown up with a foot pump! Glad I went with the Salomon Ultra Glides I got a few weeks ago - they felt like little floaty clouds compared to the Endorphins.

Monster truck is a good way of describing them Wheelsy1 😂 It's definitely a lot of shoe but it has grown on me the more miles I've run in it. I think you went for the right shoe in the Ultra Glides.
