Here are the guidelines imposed by saudi Govt: First: emphasis on imams and muezzin on the following: 1. Full regularity in their work, and no absenteeism in the holy month of Ramadan unless absolutely necessary, after assigning the person performing the work for the period of absence, this mandate shall be with the approval of the Ministry's branch in the region and the one on behalf has undertaken not to breach the responsibility. Absence shall not exceed the allowable period. 2. Adherence to Umm al-Qura Calendar, emphasis on raising the adhan "call for prayer of the Asha prayer on time in Ramadan, and the iqamah "performance of prayers" according to the approved period for each prayer. 3. Taking into account people's conditions in Tarawih prayers, the completion of Tahajjud's prayers in the last 10 days of Ramadan with enough time before Fajr adhan, so it won't be hardship on worshippers. 4. Abiding by the Prophet's guidance in Qunot "Duaa" supplication at Tarawih Prayer and non- prolongation, and being limited to Jawame Duaa and the sahih supplications, and avoid hymns and intonation 5. The importance of reading some useful books on the mosque group, according to circulars which regulates that 6. Adhering to the directives issued regarding the controls for installing cameras in mosques, not using them to photograph the imam and worshipers during the performance of the prayers, and not transmitting the prayers or broadcasting them in the media of all kinds. 7. That the imam be responsible for authorizing the itikaaf, verifying that there are no violations from them, knowing the data of the i'tikaaf, and requesting the approval of the sponsor approved for non-Saudis, according to the directives notified in advance regarding the itikaf controls. 8. Not collecting financial donations for projects to iftar the fast (and others). 9. Iftar for the fasting people-if any should be in the places prepared for that in the courtyards of the mosque, and under the responsibility of the imam and the muezzin, and that the one responsible for iftar the fast for the fasting person should clean the place immediately after finishing the iftar, and not create any temporary rooms or tents and the like to hold the iftar in them. 10. He urged worshipers not to accompany children, as this would disturb the worshipers and cause them to lose their reverence.

Secondly, it is ordered that the Imam and muezzin of that mosque should not collect aid from Musallis for iftar and sahri, because the Saudi Government bears the cost of iftar and sahri, which this Godi media has not said. Thirdly, it was said that the Saudi Government limits the volume of loudspeakers, but none of the guidelines mentioned this. Fourthly, children are not allowed because they can cause problems during the prayer. But the Godi media is highlighting those incidents as those guidelines are restrictions for Musallis.

Those rules actually bring some discipline and preserve the sanctity of the month. Children cause many many issues during the Taraweeh prayers like distraction, getting lost, mischief etc, recording and broadcasting of the prayers are all for commercial purposes and exploitation on the social media to earn viewership etc, loud speakers outside is not Islamic as it causes disturbance to others which is in direct contravention of the Islamic faith. Loud speakers are only meant for the prayer calls and inside mosque activities not to the outside. These things are all totally needed and is the essence of true Islam.

If cameras are used in Mosque, people cannot focus on prayer 3.No donation: All Mosques in Saudi Arabia are centrally funded and all need including feeding for fasting. 4. If food is provided for people who are fasting, it should be done in designated areas and cleaned afterwards. Good to keep Mosque clean. Nothing wrong in it. 5. No Iftar inside the Mosque: It means iftar outside the prayer area. Always Mosque is consist of prayer and non prayer area. 6. No Itikaf without ID: Non local People often occupy large area of prayer space, causing inconvenience to local Saudi people.

Love the new rules. I recently returned from Umrah in Saudi and these were the exact issues I faced. I saw people eating chicken wings inside the Holiest of mosques, dropping their crumbs and food items everywhere which isn't nice at all for worshippers. There's only so much that the staff can do to maintain the cleanliness, so having food items scattered everywhere doesn't help. Secondly, people taking videos, photos and even having video calls inside the mosques and even the Ka'ba was so bizarre, inconsiderate and distracting. We're talking about the Holiest site in the world for Muslims which should be reserved for worshipping; mosques are not photoshoot backgrounds or cafes, and it's obvious the majority of people are not taking photos for their memories but for social media clout and disingenuous reasons. It pretty much goes against the whole point of worship. You are supposed to go to pilgrimage or prayer to forget about the worldly life and focus on your Creator, so you defeat the entire point of why you're there just by taking out your phone. Finally on kids. People underestimate how much of a distraction kids in mosques are. They are constantly crying, walking over people during prayer and distracting the worshippers, and for obvious reasons it was the women's section which faced these issues more. To take kids who are a little older and understand how to pray is fair enough but taking really young kids is plain inconsiderate for other people and even to the kid itself. The whole point of being in a mosque is for peace, I don't understand how taking a crying young child contributes to this.

@@gorochu4287 there is no banning kids from mosque, it’s during Specific Salah times certain age kids should not be in the prayer area ( such as toddlers, this is a matter of safety and khusu of people performing Salah) if you don’t understand something, ask question. This is common norm according to the hadit. If one has obligations of watching a child, they don’t have to come to the mosque, they can do their Salah at home and their kids can be attended to. These rules have always been encouraged all over, nothing new. There is nothing unislamic regarding that matter.
