Programs like 60 minutes and other mainstream media outlets should sometimes stop focusing on the negative and critical views of Saudi Arabia, regardless of whether those allegations and observations are based on facts or mere assumptions. If anything is done for the betterment of the nation and its people, the Leadership and Government of Saudi Arabia is taking positive steps and making good progress towards becoming a more open-minded democratic kingdom nation that would someday better serve the needs of it’s people and country. So tell us why the world should not support and encourage them more often, give good advise to them more often, suggest better ideas to help them improve their ideas more often. Instead of being constantly reminded by you of the negative image and ideologies you want us to hold-onto about Saudi Arabia. We can only see through you and identify the real truth if all you do is keep throwing mud at the Saudi Arabia leadership and government, you’re not doing the world any favors to better understand the situation. In fact, it appears you’re merely attempting to spread fear and propaganda to sabotage their efforts and the whole world is carefully watching and listening to know whose motives are actually pure and genuine. If a person commits a crime you don't focus on the positive parts of their personality, you focus on the crime and its inherently negative effects. Likewise, when a country repeatedly violates basic human rights you don't focus on its positive aspects but instead address the faults head on. Beheading a journalist, restricting rights of half the population, and exporting religious extremism across the Middle East are abhorrent and need to be called out

The problem now is the more you keep on repeating them and dwelling on them, it makes us wonder if you really want us to believe what you are saying purely for the purpose of the truth or is it steming from envy, jealousy and hatred for Saudi Arabia. Don’t let your heart be consumed by negativity, if its truly Justice that you seek for those crimes or any human rights violations, may God almighty grant justice and peace to those who are affected in the fullness of time, but in the meantime let’s focus on the good that’s happening and encourage it forward.

@umsami Жыл бұрын
It's likely a bit of both. MBS has changed Saudi a lot. Religious police have little or no power. Women can drive. Outside tourists are welcome. Saudi citizens (including women) hold jobs that used to go to guest workers/expats. They have gobs of money, why not invest in sports? Other billionaires do--heck, they own all of our teams in the States. I've visited Saudi twice and what many Americans would find surprising (I think) is just how very high tech it is (far beyond what I've experienced here), the true kindness of the Saudis, and the incredible hospitality. It's like nothing I've ever experienced before. Is it a perfect country? Nope. I would guess that it's not easy to stay in power when there are very many relatives who think they should be the guy in charge. But let's be honest, we have our own problems. We suck when it comes to our prison population, rehabilitation, and gun violence. School shootings, etc. I'll also add that MBS closed down hajj when Covid was at its peak. That was an act of leadership and courage, because it's such a big deal to all Muslims. People save a lifetime for it. US? We instead had over 1 million deaths from Covid.
