Asslaam alaikum This ban should never have been in place in the first place. It was the most ridiculous ban in the entire history of the world. As far as I am aware, women rode horses at the time of the prophet Muhammad pbuh, hence, I never understood why women could not drive. However, finally they have been given there God given right, Alhamdullilah.

@Fiaz. Walaikum as Salam. What you said is true but those women rode horses with a purpose. They didn't take horses out for any sightseeing or entertainment. Horses were mainly used for Jihad, either by men or women. But today, there is no such concept. Driving cars or giving license to women is for entertainment purpose. There is no religious or spiritual background behind lifting up the ban. Yet, if there is any genuine need, women can go on drive under proper veil.

Fiaz Ismail - I used to live in Jeddah for almost 4 years. I think that Saudi men are so into "protecting" their women, that the idea of a female handling a big powerful automobile was out of the question. You can get in all sorts of predicaments in cars and I always believed that it was one less hassle for a Saudi man to deal with. Besides, I've been all over the Kingdom and know that there are many places where people don't observe road rules and the streets can be full of chaos. Even though I drove a few times on the Christian Road around Mecca, I never had the urge to get behind the wheel when there were plenty of drivers and taxis all over the place to take me where I wanted to go, anyhow. And by the way, even though Saudi Arabia was not where I grew up, my father had an open mind and when he took a good job in Jeddah, he told us that when we moved there, we had to have an open mind because people live differently all over the world. We did. We all had open minds and LOVED our stay in KSA, Alhamdullilah!

servant of Allah Get out of the 7th century cave you are living in. The world is VERY different now. There is NOTHING wrong with sightseeing or entertainment. Even your prophet went out for entertainment and took his child bride along (entertainment was watching African slaves dance and play music). Of course, men only go out for necessities, and women only go out for entertainment... you misogynistic sexist 🐖. Surely, no women work, go to school, take their kids to school, go out to buy food and household items, etc 🙄

now all that is needed is to ban face scarfs to have good vision on the road i would hate to be driven off the road by someone who doesnt see 100% around them. luckily i dont live there or drive anymore. its nice that they all want to drive but to be honest cycling is better for everyone and the planet
@ridwaanproject48206 жыл бұрын
xJuiCYxxJaYx they can't ban that because it was never made necessary.. it's just something some women choose to do

The young people of Saudi Arabia, which make up almost 50% whom are 25 and under, don’t care that women drive. It’s the older religious people that don’t want it. Even older religious women in Saudi don’t want women to drive.
