Ordered him to bring Agag the King of the Amalekites that Saul Spared. And Samuel killed him I believe he said to Agag " As your sword made woman childless, so shall your mother be childless"

King Saul gets criticized a lot.. Remember guys king Saul was Israel’s first king.. I’m sure it was a steep learning curve. Also you can see a foreshadowing of Jesus in him.. when he tried to be king and priest 😣 Ask yourself .. if you was in his shoes, would you do better?? Interesting point ,to me i find the people of israel loved king saul,i know the book of samuel tends to potray him as violent and unstable,only when david enters the narrative,i think theres more to him than what we have in samuel,there was a city our residence across by the jordan river,jabeshgilead ,saul saved the people from being mutilated by the ammonites,i read a account thats a fragment from the dead sea scrolls,which states that nahash the ammonite king was gouging out the eyes 🗡😱of the israelites,and they fled to jabesh ,which was across the jordan,🌊our bibles dont have that part they just have nahash threating the town that heel do what i mentioned earlier ,so we have alot thats missing 🏹🏹davids song of the bow which comes from lost source,potrays the effection for saul israel had as he says daughters of israel weep for saul who clothed 👕👚👔you with scarlet who put on ornaments of gold on youre clothing,🏅🌟

HI It was about David and Saul, not David's reign. David honoured Saul with a Psalm which he read out at the end of the battle where Saul and his son Jonathan both died, and so he will always be remembered .
