Lovely rendition ! I hadn't played this in donkeys years, then last Thursday, playing for a dance, I went through the intro for one tune, and then out of nowhere, up popped this! Spent the next few minutes trying to work out what on earth it was I was playing. All's well - it fitted the dance perfectly, so I stuck with it and will use it again ;

thanks again especially on DG box, your steady pacing has shown me that the version that I have been following by Bellowhead was way to frantic( still enjoyable) to learn from. The way you set up your camera helps me study your bass fingering which presently for me holds as much mystery as dowsing...!

Playing this for our regular dances, where the average age is the wrong side of 60, teaches you to play nice and steady. If I played it wound up to commonly accepted 'session speed' we'd need to get the defibrillator out of the box on the wall first ... Like many tunes, playing steadily and well is far better that the all too common downhill race to the end ...

Love the sound of the Lilly. You recorded it so smoothly. Is it because if that red cloth over the microphone?

Thanks Kristofer! I was just experimenting with that microphone, that's just a windshield you're seeing. I usually use different mics but it's much the same concept.
