Fact is he chose Bivol because he believed he was the easier champion at the weight and it backfired. Bivol offered to rematch him at 168 but Clanelo declined it. Also going 12 rounds with Ryder who is a B level fighter at best is definitely slipping…….ain’t no obstacle about it. Charlo been off for over 2 years but apart from that I expect Charlo to beat the rehydration clause king Clanelo!

Don't forget David Benavidez already had a deal agreed upon with David Morrell before he sent Canelo a deal so that fight would never have happen anyway no matter how many people spin it. The deal to fight against Morrell was set 3 months ago before the Caleb Plant fight. Yet no one discussing that. Charlo has ducked many fights for 2+ years including Tim Tszyu and is close to being stripped of a title due to inactivity. Charlo refused to loose another fight and spoil his big payday with Canelo. If anyone is holding a division hostage is Charlo not fighting for 2+ years. The man has slammed Canelo over the years trying to get that payday so don't forget that. If Charlo looses his career will come to an end, because he will also loose his next fight against Tszyu, the man will be his mandatory. I just don't think he has the fire anymore to beat Canelo he sure don't have the power. Charlo is basically fighting for retirement money. If you think Canelo hasn't fought anyone and has held the titles hostage then you clearly don't know the sport. Ryder was his mandatory.
