nah dont say you're reading too much into it, not to dickride the showrunners or anything but this *is* a type of show where deeper analysis is valid if you know what i mean, they seem pretty purposeful in the music they use/the lyrics that are emphasized through montages and stuff. if they end up using Pina Colada in the final season i have no doubt in my mind it would be because of how the lyrics link to Jimmy's character tbh
