yeah you can tell that by their conversation after this but also by the way in this scene when he buts in to 1 explain they had nothing and 2 cut off the question about why didnt mike come back for the funeral. Also while holding the door he clearly saw Mike lift the notepad and watched mike put it in his pocket.
