"Never question who I am God knows and I know God personally, in fact he let's me call him me" "Stealing us was the smartest thing they ever did.. To bad they don't teach the truth to their kids" The two most influential stanzas in this poem... In my own opinion at least

As powerful as this clip is, it is, here, diminished by the lack of context. The tension built up before this scene is palpable, and Saul's words slice it up and toss it in the air like confetti. Succinctly displays the power of the spoken word. Brilliant.

I might be purchasing his 'The Dead Emcee Scrolls' soon! Really looking forward to read it. I read some of the reviews and was really inspired, some says he's making references to Isis, old ancient civilizations and etc. This brother is so deep! Those who met him personal were lucky, I would too! Such inspiring and full of enlightenment!

Some of you haven't given the greatest reviews of the movie. And quite honestly, I can barely remember what the plot was, so I can't agree or disagree. But it's always held a special place in my mind as part of my introduction to the artform of spoken word poetry. I caught it on cable in the middle of the night one night YEARS ago. Between this and Jessica Care More's run on the Apollo around the same time, I was inspired to pick up the pen, and I haven't put it down since. Thanx 4 posting.
