Thanks for the inspiration. I'm just looking now to round up some building materials. All the videos pretty much only use cedar. after a year, have you seen any negatives to using spruce? Is there anything you would do differently?

Hello! Glad to hear! The spruce is holding up great, it doesn’t have the typical cedar smell but it does have its own distinct smell that I love very much. Everything works wonderfully still, I don’t think we have anything we’d change. Maybe to update the stove in the future to something more sturdy, with an area to stack rocks.

@@simplelivingwiththetomchak3256 Awesome. I checked out your other videos. I was thinking you must be in Canada somewhere, we're from the Interlake area in Manitoba. We share a lot in common. We have chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys and chickens. We had pigs in the summer. and enjoy spending time in our back quarter as well.
