Six days per week: swim a kilometer; 40-50 minutes in the sauna; five minute ice cold shower. Result? If my car won’t start, I can carry it home. I became freakishly powerful!

My wife and I do sauna 6-7 days a week, always in the morning, for 25-30 minutes. Love it.

Thank you for another great video! I'm 65, Since beginning my journey focus on health on Oct 2019 I've lost 60 lbs in 6 months and have maintained it for 18 months using keto and IF, brought my A1C from 9.7 to 5.9 and kept it there. I have not caught a cold since, everyone else in my household caught the China thing. I will be incorporating sauna and jacuzzi along with my hit running. Thank you!

Awesome content as always Mike 💪 after a stressful day a shower and sauna melts always the stress. I am in my infrared sauna now and I will literally wake up two hours early to have this experience. Delay start is a fantastic feature for getting right into a hot sauna. I keep two fifteen pounds dumbbells next to me and alternate shoulder presses and curls to bring up my heart rate. I also use some essential oils on a towel.

I can vouch for sauna therapy being vital for my health ever since i was as yount at 11-12 years old.. thankfully I found a gym near my home that allowed me to go by myself to use the gym and especially the sauna. I lost access for a couple years then got another gym membership which had a sauna.. I think military bases and ships should all have saunas as well. Sadly my experience is that they don't.. I only had access for a short time at a military training center.. and i was the only one that i know that used it. The pandemic really caused health difficulties for me because of the gyms closing.

Wow! Science telling us what I naturally felt already. I have a steam shower in my house that I use all of the time. I have Type 2 diabetes and anytime that I was feeling off I would use my steam shower and always felt better. Just following what felt right for my body.

Don't forget about taking a hot bath, building a portable sauna, their are some cheap options out there. I'm such a fiend now and now know that it takes 45 minutes for my single cab Nissan to heat up to 120 degrees with the engine revved to 2000rpm.

I am waiting for my sauna to heat up right now. I have an infrared sauna and I added three 250 watt infrared heat lamps and it maintains a temperature of 145° and I stay in for 30 minutes. Although it's only 145°, it feels at least 20-25° hotter!

I love my Jacuzzi Clearlight Sauna. I regularly do 45 minutes at 135-140 degrees in the evening. I feel so great the next morning.

I bought an infrared sauna from Costco a few years ago. Small foot print and have it in the bedroom. It just plugs into a standard outlet and assembled it in about half an hour. Wasn't that expensive really and I use it regularly.

I’m type 1 diabetic and hot baths even help lower my blood sugar. At night if I have a very stubborn high and I don’t want to exercise or take more insulin, a hot bath or sauna will drop me crazily fast

Thank you for this, the last straw I needed to convince me to use my apartments hot tub and buy myself a sauna dome (won’t be able to get a Finnish one until I can afford a house lol). Nonetheless, I’m excited as I’m someone who cannot stand the heat. Every summer I try to stay indoors because the heat just kills me. I’m hoping this will help.

@@asphalthedgehog6580 The hot tub is free, I pay for it in my rent. The sauna won’t add that much to my electric bill, just did an estimate. I’m also 22 with over 50k in savings. I’ll be able to afford a house eventually. Lol thanks for trying to discourage me but you failed.

Hey mike, thanks for your content. you mention fertility in there quite abruptly. in every capacity i’ve ever read about sauna i’ve seen that it negatively impacts male sperm count, albeit seemingly temporary. can you eloborate more on your point about fertility? i can understand helping with ED cause of circulation and blood flow, but not fertility itself in regards to sperm health. Thanks!

No. Sunlight alone won't give you the same benefits. You need to get so hot that you start sweating alot.

I'm not really sure about this, but I live in a city area with many different economic and lifestyle mixes. I have seen people whose diets and lifestyles should have led to an early demise, yet they lived on and on. One day I realized that these same people were outside a lot and exposed to intense heat and humidity during summer months, then freezing cold temperatures during winter. No AC for relief from heat is probably the biggest factor. I suspect that these "scientific marvels", as I like to call them, are unwittingly generating HSPs during exposure and fixing lots of damaged cells. In the same regard, I read somewhere several years ago that AC is really not good for your health and that with the advent of it, and hitting every home and workspace, our health began to decline. I guess there's a price for comfort.

I can tell you, nothing works like a Finnish sauna. I can be in the hot tub or the steam room 3 times as long and I don’t come out feeling as good as I do from 20 minutes in a proper Finnish sauna.

Is it that safe though? What about neuron damage due to hyperthermia? Coincidentally or not, Andrew Huberman had a talk about heat exposure with Rhonda Patrick and a seoarate video on the same topic and he warned that oror to any exposure you should check with your doc so you don't do more harm than good.

I'm curious about using heat as therapy as it relates to fertility. I was always told that men that expose their genitals to heat for extended periods of time damage or kill the sperm? Is this incorrect? And how does the heat affect eggs in women? If at all? Does it cause harm to an unborn baby? I was told (though not by my doctor) not to take a hot bath when I was pregnant, but the water always felt so good on my lower back and sore legs and feet, especially in the third trimester. Thanks!

It will help, you get vasodilation with a hot bath as well. Blood circulation and heart rate increases in a hot bath..just don't do it for too long. 15-20 min

How can they say it is the sauna or heat... Maybe getting people who are inactive to go somewhere gets the a1c down. Is 1% even significant? I work with diabetes and test to test there are significant variances. The message should be exercise. Not sit in a sauna. Raise your temperature by working out....

Obviously, he disagrees with Brenner on Sauna. Though a frequent sauna user, I would be interested in what Brenner has to say. Brenner seems like a smart guy. Though I think NR / NMN supplementation is likely bullshit, and Brenner is an evangelist for NR. Brenner likely makes a lot of money off of NR since he is an adviser to Chromadex and is an inventor on patents implemented in the manufacture or sale of NR supplements.
