UPDATE: For those that might be interested, after owning the SuanaBox for about 9 months, I recently gave it away after getting the newly-updated SaunaBox (V2). Even after all that time, it worked great! I kept it outside the entire time and the only "wear and tear" was on the floor material from dragging it around a little. Otherwise, the cover still looked fantastic. Watch my review of the updated version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZ_ai6apjqesh6c

Just bought one, Thank you for the discount. I plan on leaving it in the garage so hopefully the fiberglass frame doesn't get brittle over time from the cold

I appreciate that! I'm definitely looking forward to warmer temps outside. That said, I hopped in today and it was about 60 degrees out and the tent got HOT! I'm really curious to see how it will be in the summer. I'm guessing I won't be in there for more than 10 minutes.

Windows made from fiberglass is an upgrade from vinyl due to its durability in temp changes. If the poles are indeed fiberglass they should do fine

@recovatech thanks for the good info. I purchased a sauna box 2 weeks ago. No more than 110 degrees despite the fact it’s summer Ami have the unite inside de garage. Any thoughts on adding an extra steam unit (Amazon sells similar for $60) anyone who you know has tried that? Or any thoughts on throwing covers ore dimito retain heat?

I should be receiving my saunabox and cold plunge combo today! Super stoked. I was going to set it up in the garage so hopefully it doesn't cause an issue with too much moisure in the house but I was going to just open the garage and setup a fan to help vent/dry it out. One thing I would recommend is using distilled water only to prevent calcification and all that crap gumming up the machine. Idk if you mentioned that or not. Solid review ty.

The SaunaBox contains the steam really well, so the only time it will air out is when you open the door. Honestly, I don't think it will have any more impact than if you took an extended hot shower in your bathroom. Yeah I agree, air it out with a small fan and you should be good. Great point about using distilled. Not a bad idea all around. Thanks for commenting!

I take it this isn't recommended for use in a small studio flat? Because of the moisture released in a small area afterwards? I am already worried about mold as it is but I really want one (I already have a Mihigh sauna blanket but I miss more of a sauna experience). Thank you!
@Recovatech
@Recovatech 3 күн бұрын
The moisture issue can certainly be mitigated. The sauna itself is really quite self-contained and until you open the door, isn't releasing any moisture. And when you open the door, there's really no more vapor than what you'd get in a very hot shower. It dissipates almost immediately afterward. I would definitely open it up all the way and run a fan to dry any residual moisture and perhaps place it on a rubber mat. Do that and you should not have any issues. I had my original SaunaBox for 9 months before upgrading and had zero signs of mold, mildew, etc.

I recently gave away that model in the video after owning it for about 9 months (because I now have the new version). It was always kept outside under a gazebo, but still very much exposed to some sun and rain. Besides some wear and tear on the bottom material from dragging it around a little, it still looked great. That was my experience.

What mat would you recommend for the floor. I just did my first sauna and noticed a good amount of sweat outside the box on the floor. Not going to lie I was a bit disappointed but overall super impressed with the capabilities and features of the new improvements.
@Recovatech
@Recovatech 2 ай бұрын
And you have the sweatmat on the floor inside while using it? Also, are you feeding the steam through the hose and into the included steam diffusor/cup? Not exactly sure what they call it, but that should collect any of the extra water. If I have those two things in place, the bottom is never wet afterwards. That aside, any rubber mat would work. You could pick up a gym floor tile or horse stall mat. Either would work.

I want to buy one to put on my balcony of my condo here in Kelowna, BC, Canada where the winter gets fairly cold. Any issue with having it out in the cold? Can it run and still get decently warm in the cold?
@Recovatech
@Recovatech Ай бұрын
My SaunaBox stays on my deck year-round and yes, it still works in the winter. Not quite as hot, but still enough to sweat for sure. Now, SaunaBox just updated their tent and made the insulation thicker so I would imagine it will perform even better this year. That said, my winters here only get down into the 20s/30s for the most part. You could throw a wool blanket over the top and that would certainly help.

I watched a ton of reviews and I was gonna do the Nurecover truthfully but the sauna box has rails on the side not just up and down. It has a mat on the bottom to protect from ripping etc. I was gonna do nure but after everything I’ve watched and read the sauna box is what I’m going with. I wanted the nurecover cause it has a read light therapy one and it said it’s wider but again it doesn’t look like it really is

Never tried it. I did have a sauna blanket from HigherDose and I think they'd be similar. I thought it worked well. I kind of didn't like just lying on the floor for 45 minutes, sweating in a bag. In the end, not my thing. At least in the SaunaBox I can sit/stand and move around a little.

How do you think this would do in a finished basement? Is it best to have this outside?
@Recovatech
@Recovatech 5 ай бұрын
Totally doable. The sweat mat does a great job collecting most of the water/sweat, but I would still place it on something that could stand up to some moisture (no carpet). As far as the steam, it's really well self-contained in the tent and when you do open it, it's a quick burst of steam and then it dissipates right away. No more than a shower if that helps. When you're done, open it up all the way and use a fan to dry it out for an hour or so. Very low maintenance overall.

Absolutely, as long as you use caution. The sweat mat does a great job at absorbing water, but I'd put a waterproof mat underneath the entire thing. Also, just like outdoors, you want to make sure you air it out really well afterward. Otherwise, the steam is well contained and once you do open it, I don't think it's more than what a hot shower would put off.

Sure you can. The steam is pretty much contained while the door is closed, but once you're done, be sure to air it out really well. You could simply use a fan to dry it out.
