Bro, I genuinely don’t understand why people won’t accept that Sauron wins. He’s immortal, he can’t lose.

A lot of people, and this is not a jest, have a hard time comparing power levels between different mediums of fiction. And it is worse when something like Star Wars can not always provide a clear distinction on power capabilities. Force abilities are the closest you can get to really making an accurate chart of determining force power strength, but even then, its not always "clear". In general this tends to be an issue with Soft Magic Systems, which is also why when trying to pin a LOTR character like Sauron vs Palpatine, things get tricky. LOTR has a softer magic system than Star Wars, arguably.

Sauron was there when everything was created. If he were to fight Sauron would just manipulate palpatine into one of his servants. Why don’t nobody admit that Sauron would win? Everybody just are haters for Tolkien. Also Sauron is powerful but ain’t even close to being the strongest being in arda.
@notsure13843 ай бұрын
Sauron, and it's not close. Sauron's origins and the power he holds is simply above anything Sidious could ever manifest. And that's before the ring even existed.

Did my boy Sidious dirty 💀 but I realize he ain’t beating Sauron in a million years Edit: full potential Aniken would eat sauron tho
@mythicproductions91543 ай бұрын
In pure martial combat, sure. But Anakin is no more able to strip a god of their immortality as Palpatine is. My only criticism that I have for this video is that once again, both characters presented are heavily glossed over, hardly reviewed, and the match up is short. I feel like I just need to do this myself on my personal channel. -sigh-
@Sumrando9263 ай бұрын
@@mythicproductions9154 yeah but like in a fight Aniken would win, to the death that would be to Sauron

@Sumrando9263 ай бұрын
@@mythicproductions9154 well it depends Aniken that was seen in revenge of the sith would get destroyed by Sauron but full potential is what I’m talking about since full potential Aniken was seen in books to take down many Jedi master like Mace and Yoda as if they were training dummies
@mythicproductions91543 ай бұрын
@@Sumrando926 Okay, this is true, but he is not a Demi-God. Ish. Clone Wars makes this a bit of a gray area just in the whole Father/Daughter/Son episode(s), but Sauron as a being is equivalent to what we would call an Angel/Archangel. And not only that, he has fought, defeated, and survived battles against his own kind. Powers that the mortal body could not withstand. Fun Fact, that is the reason the Valar did not come to the aid of Middle-Earth when Sauron emerged in place of Morgoth. Their power had been so destructive they sent the wizards and forbid the wizards from being overly directly involved in combating Sauron. They were there to advise and urge the free peoples against the enemy, that is it. Anakin also has the same problem against Sauron that Palpatine has regarding the lightsaber. It is useless. Sauron's life is his spirit. A good comparison for understanding is the Witch King. The Witch King was bound to the physical world of Middle-Earth by Sauron and the ring he wore provided enchantments that made it impossible for a normal weapon to hurt him. The only reason he died on the battlefield was because of Marry's dagger, which like Pippin's, it blessed by the Valar and made specifically to make Wraith mortal. They didn't get to see their intended use when they were first made but they did generations later. Aragorn's sword is also blessed by the Valar, which is why it was able to cut the ring from his hand (film version). Sauron didn't have much to fear from mortals other than maybe occasionally having to emerge in a new form or shapeshift if he got too injured. A lightsaber has no property about it that makes it able to wound or even kill a celestial being. Even in the episodes I mentioned from Clone Wars, they were regarded as being quite useless against the Father or his children.

Well, one is mortal and the other one immortal. So there is that. As much as I like Sheevy, he could never fully destroy Sauron. Bro would just reemerge 3000 years later, long after Sheevy died.

Yep and it wasn’t even the hobbits. Tolkein confirmed that the God of the LoTR world (Eru) intervened to make Gollum fall. Also the one thing the guy in the video forgot is that Sauron can burn someone to death by the mere heat of his hand like he did to Gil Galad

@@JoeMama-wo3hi So are a few Jedi. If you can't defend a Human with a sword chopping your finger off you can't contend with a Force user. As Obi Wan might say: "Chopping limbs off is our speciality". They love chopping limbs off.
@mythicproductions91543 ай бұрын
@@darthwiizius Okay, not to be the "defender" here but, there is a lot of context missing in this perception. That "broken sword" is not a hunk of metal. The blade is blessed by the Valar. There are several weapons like this in Middle-Earth, a notable reference is also the daggers given to Marry and Pippin. This is why the Witch King was defeated. It had nothing to do with a woman stabbing him in the face or that Marry is a halfling. The dagger temporarily severed Sauron's hold on the Witch King and broke the enchantments that allowed him to be "immortal". A Lightsaber is no better than a steel sword against Sauron. It has no quality about it that would allow it to harm or wound Sauron. One of the few things the Rings of Power got right was the Creaser scene of Sauron being butchered by the orcs. Before anyone else could touch or harm him, the crown of Morgoth is what initially did him in. That crown, while not blessed by the Valar, is not just a random chunk of metal thrown together for show. There is SO much more to that scene where Sauron looses his hand and the movie is not even accurate to what happened in the books. Sauron was already defeated by the combined efforts of other characters, each wielding exceptional weapons. Sauron went tow to tow with them until he couldn't continue sustaining damage. The Ring was cut from his finger AFTER his defeat, technically. What this video also fails to mention (like most others) is that Sauron was an up front and center character during Morgoth's war. In which Sauron fought, defeated and survived multiple encounters with other beings of a similar celestial caliber or greater. The power Palpatine wields is powerful, but he is not a god. And given that Sauron has fought gods and lived to tell the tale, Palpatine is a joke compared to what Sauron can fight again. And that is not even getting into the other nuance issues with this match up. There are several. And no one EVER addresses them.

First off the guy who cut his figure was a centuries year old superhuman And that sword was enchanted to harm evil maiar like Sauron Lightsabers cant cut Sauron let alone harm him unless they can harm force ghosts or the whills of the force which they can’t
@mythicproductions91543 ай бұрын
@@ATalesTruth- That was my thinking too. It would come down to Force Power and the only problem I see for Star Wars is that even through both the Jedi and Sith can become respectfully quite powerful, they are not Gods. Anakin is the only one that I think could even consider contenting this and I only think this because of the Father/Daughter/Son arc from The Clone Wars. But he never used that power in an effort to kill either of them so... he could effect them. Control them because that is how the force worked. But the force would not be giving Anakin that edge against Sauron.
