Great video, love your method. I had a hard time seeing exactly, but it looks like trigger jerk might be a factor in the group. I’m not sure if that’s your doing or the trigger being stiff.

I watched a guy today on video with a savage axis 2 and 2 other nice rifles do long range shooting, he hit 3 times at 1000 yds with it, blew my mind that the affordable savage axis 2 was a 1000 yd gun 😂😂 it was 6.5 cr ammo he used

my axis was problematic out of the box. head space in barrel was so tight, it would pull shells apart. i had a gun smith repair. now its amazing. i only use norma 150g. its consistant, weather resistant, light weight for an old guy, nothing fancy black.

Nice review. A little slower trigger pull might put your groups a little tighter.

I’ve got the axis 2 and it was shooting awful I put a limb saver on and that brought the groups in to 2 inches with American Eagle 150 grain fmj I switched to 150 grain sp and a little better then I ran out of day light at home I thought I should check the receiver screws and they were loose about to fall out I tightened these up and have yet to go back out. The bolt being tight I looked into and the bottom lug is getting marks on it I put some oil on it and cycled about 20 times it’s gotten easier but if it don’t lighten up I may polish it anyway I am happy with it.

I have a Savage Axis in 2506 with a Nikon scope on it at 200 yards it will do continuous groups of 2 and 3 in with Remington Green 100 grain great rifle for the money

When I got my savage they said they bore sighted it but it wasn’t hitting the target at 25 yards

Any issues with the Weaver scope getting loose or loosing adjustment after a few shots -- or pretty happy with it?

I've had mine for 3 years and the Weaver was all over the place, so I went with the Vortex 3x9 and it's now by far my favorite gun to shoot.

Yeah where I'm at they are 450 to 530 now, if it's not an xp you can get it 370 to 425 depending what it's chambered in, planning on getting one and ppl saying 2 yrs ago they were getting them for 250, 175, 300, not anymore sadly
