As an Aussie metalhead who was listening to Napalm Death and Strapping Young Lad when this stuff came out...I'd be lying if I said Savage Garden weren't amazing song writers. Not my preferred genre but you couldn't help but tap your feet when a song of theirs came on the radio. Love you guys reacting to Aussie music, we still have a TON of sick music you's haven't gotten to yet as well...The Angels song 'Shadow Boxer' or Regurgitator singing '! The song formerly known as' would be perfect to show you the talent we had that is unknown in the rest of the world.

I love you guys are discoving Aussie music. We were our own maket and bands developed differently with our Pub scene where most pubs had bands as entertainment so singing live was you make it or break it type deal. Go Back to Johnny OKeefe in the 60s or AC/DC at a school hall in the early 70s thats where they were made look at an AC/DC concert now its always been like that just less people. Its why we have our own sound here and in New Zealand bands grew the same way and great NZ singers and there are a hell of a lot of NZ singers good ones come acrodd the ditch to Oz and get more coverage Neil Finn a NZ great and adoptted Aussie started in Split Enz and they came to Aus and broke into our market. then Crowded House came about with them sharing a small house in Melbourne 3 muso's and they covered the world now Neil is the Latest member of Fleetwood Mac taking the Lindsay Buckingham role. Love Suzies colour matching headphones very cool.

Drum teams & school marching bands are not Aussie at all, we don't have them in Straya! Loved Savage Garden as a high school kid in Straya, I've still got their first CD & I Want U is the song that blew them to stardom, their first number 1 🥰

From my town at the time. I can’t say I’d recommend them. I can say that my city produced Regurgitator and I can definitely recommend them. They do metal, rock, rap, hiphop, synthpop, tecnho, industrial, powerballads, love songs, electronica, and other noises. Been around since the 90’s. Personally, the old stuff is the best.
