But also, if there is no report on the car being stolen, cops can't assume the car is stolen. It isn't uncommon for people that borrow cars, especially show cars, to know where the paperwork is.

according to maryland state law, historic tagged cars can only be driven on weekends, to and from events. also you can only get historic tags for cars OLDER than 25 years. the Ferrari is new, so legally in the state of Maryland it cannot be registered for historic tags it has to be normal tags. and that's probably why it was impounded in the end. ive had 63 points worth of tickets in MD and ive fought all of them in court. ive only ever been stuck with 2 points twice. i had 2 points, then 3 years later (which is how long it takes for the points to fall off your record) i got 2 more. the other 59 points ive fought in traffic court. my biggest ticket was over 30 points. cop wrote me up for everything you could think of, even illegal lane changes. when the cop told his side of the story i objected to every miscount and incorrect info. like illegal lane changes, i used my blinker so they weren't illegal at all. cop confirmed i used my blinker the whole time. ended up with 200 dollar fine and NO POINTS. knowing your state law is important....

They do. But because they have show cars, they sometimes have to use different plates for different events or issue as needed. They guy had the plate that he needed for the car for why it is at a different location, but needed a different plate for the show, and it was in that car to be brought to him. I don't understand what the issue is, He admitted he dropped down gears to floor it under the underpass - valid reason to be pulled (speeding / reckless driving / racing). Driving on an expired temp tag and unable to find the correct one. Had multiple registration documents and plates for other vehicles in the car. Tried to pass the phone and say that this random person you don't know on the other side is the owner.
