Help me out here, shouldn't your rifle be zeroed before you get in area of hunt.

Thanks for commenting Anton. When it comes to a hunt like this its always good to check your gear and ice at the camp site. We have to take a plain to fly into these locations, and it can be a bumpy ride. Just that short flight can cause a shift in your sights, so its always good to double check. I always try to give myself some time to make sure my equipment is working properly before the hunt.

What’s the purpose of this? Can you eat bear for example, or is it to prevent bears hunting something like livestock? Or is it trophy hunting?

I like white gas because if I run out of white gas I'll use regular gas you can't always find propane but you can always find some regular gas.if you take it out of your car.

110 what??? Sight in where your hunting?? Really ???? Maybe those bears are deaf. Wasn’t a huge bear but successful hunt. I know a hunter that went 4 times and did finally get an eight foot bear.

Awesome! I honestly have wanted to go hunting but my family view on that is very bad so I don’t tell anyone that I will try to go bear hunting one day.

William; it's a grizzly. For those about to spew out 'no, it's an Alaskan brown bear', ALL mainland brown bears in N. America are grizzlies. This is current taxonomy.

Successful hunt but you lost me with Bushnell anything.

I'm sorry but fortunate in your terms means wealthy lol! I'll never have the money to hunting in Alaska.

Resident Alaskans have only a 1 to 3 % chance of getting a tag on Kodiak. Non Residents have 100 % chance of getting a tag. It's about the big bucks just for a few. Another bear taken from a Resident.
@freaky.skullz82 жыл бұрын
That happens, you don’t have money for the thing you want but you can save up money for some years to do what you like even if you are not wealthy :)

Unfortunately Residents don’t bring in the money as a nonresident hunter , nonresident hunters pay for Guides , lodging, Tags , Transportation and more. It’s the Nonresident that helps businesses. Ask an outfitter who they would rather have the Tags?

I had that problem in 1989,,,,,,so i got the chance and got pissed off in Florida so i packed up and moved to AK for 16 years.. Hunted Kodiak 3 times, Peninsula 3 times,,Admirlty Island once, but mainly Hunted Brooks Range. My wife said move me somewhere warm in 2011, so now i live in Texas,,,But my Daughter still lives in AK, so i can still hunt Brownie's and Grizz. She still likes to go Huntin with Dad. I may hit the Peninsula in 2023,,but flying now days,,well lets just say i would rather eat a Turd sandwich than Fly commercial these days, and the last few times AK Air has shorted my Gear or Rifle Case, so you have to wait for the next flight to come in and pay 300 $ for a motel room, 30 $ for a Hamburger, 5 $ coke and maybe you get all your gear next flight,,,them SOB'S took 3 flights from Anchorage to King Salmon before they sent my Gun Case in 2011. Good thing my Bush pilot was able to get us out 2 days later and we had Good weather to Fly.

I told my wife if we move i'm going out with a bang, so i hunted Brooks range and then in OCT hunted the Peninsula before we moved, i had my Best Brooks Range hunt that year, Got over a 18 in Black Bear,,,my buddy got a Beautiful Big Grizz, I got a HUGE Wolf and we got 3 Big Caribou Bulls, we got 6 trophies on a 10 day Hunt,,,, then on Peninsula Hunt a Got my Biggest Boar,, he was alittle Rubbed , But Huge,,,,between 9 and 10 ft. I shot the Wolf standing on Top of the Grizz my Buddy shot 5 minutes earlier, i called him in making baby sounds with my Mouth
