This a prime example of mediocrity being promoted as excellence. Omarosa was the aggressive one in the interview, it was Savannah. It was like she wasn’t prepared for the interview nor did she prepared herself well to interview Omarosa. Omarosa is an excellent speaker and tried to keep the interview on track.

You can watch various Omarosa interviews she very often gets annoyed at an interviewer asking an intial question that leads to a follow up question in one statement. Maybe it's hard for her to connect point A to point B, but Savannah was not doing anything out of the norm.

Omarosa said she was out of time at the end to accomplish two things...one, to remind Savannah of the fact that they had agreed to a 7 minute interview prior to starting, which by the end was approaching 10 minutes (which speaks to Savannah's incompetence and inability to remain within an allotted time frame). Second, Omarosa wanted to point out that had Savannah actually stuck to the questions she actually wanted answered, instead of trying to play rookie hardball, maybe she could have accomplished what she wanted, within the time frame that they had agreed upon. Instead, she chose to waste time and derail her own interview by attempting to turn the Today show set into a faux courtroom with spit fire questioning and interrogation tactics. The fault is hers, and hers only.

Very soon after the Omarosa interview I stopped watching the Today show! Savannah’s interview performance was a disaster and the real shame is that even now she remains clueless about what she did wrong-and none of her coworkers will give her honest feedback. It was an interview-not an interrogation. When you ask a question give the person time to answer… then you can follow up. You don’t cut them off with another question. Early in the interview Omarosa warned her “you can’t ask a question and then ask another question without my answer” yet that is precisely what Savannah goes on to do. It was clear from the exchange that Savanna was NOT interested in the answers and she was not listening; she was merely trying to create some sort of “gotcha” moment with her barrage of questions. She was needlessly hostile throughout and transparently phony near the end. The interview segment had gone well over the time allotted for it. If Omarosa knew that it was a 7 minute interview and could see that they were now at 10 minutes, certainly Savannah had to know that. She works there… has a microphone in her ear with producers giving her cues about time… not to mention people on the set just off camera who are monitoring the time and giving her signals. If Omarosa could see the signals about the time overrun then Savannah could as well. Her claim that she she didn’t know how much time had elapsed or what time it was exposes her as both a liar and totally unprofessional. I cannot fire Savannah, but I can certainly stop watching the Today show.
