I´m aerobatic glider pilot. I´ve seen your video and had doubts that this UL has a clearance for aerobatics. I contacted ICP, sent them the link and I got an answer: It´s not allowed and the structure is not tested over +4/-2g, the engine is not made for negative g-loads. Especially with an passenger I would never make aerobatics with a plane which is not allowed to do it. Consider that there are not only g-loads there are also torsion forces on the wing when flying rolls. If you want to make aerobatics use the right planes for it! Maybe this comment safes some lifes, if not: I´ve tried it....

I think from a pure safety point of view you're right, I fly an A22ULS wich is pretty close to the Savanah in terms of design and limitations (+4/-2G), and it's completely forbidden to do aerobatics, and I'm surprised to see it...I would'nt try as I'm not trained to aerobatics, also because the manufacturer tells me not to do, and if maybe, I wouldn't do this too close to ground...however I think you can achieve a loop or roll without hitting negative G's, and without exceeding 4 Gs, there's a ton of demonstrations of basic aerobatics (for exemple in the good old cessna 152) like with a glass of water over the panel, with water staying at the bottom of the glass, meaning always positive Gs...if you do it right (monitoring the G-meter) with upside down flying not exceeding 5/10 seconds, the motor can bare this... With a fuel injected system, fuel pomps etc...may be better even. I'm not russian speaker, we don't know the exact spécifications of the motor, may be it can achieve that...may be more powerfull than a standard 912 rotax... But you're right sounds dangerous...

@@bertrandthomasflylover2306 Effectivement, un pilote de voltige entraîné peut faire de la voltige avec n'importe quel appareil car il saura rester dans les limites de sa structure. Mais il n'est évidemment pas question de se mettre à la voltige en tant qu'autodidacte avec un Savannah, un Robin ou un Cessna !

Savannah не розрахована на виконання фігур вищого пілотажу, але її характеристика в +6 / -3 g дозволяэ виконувати де чкі фігури з ПОЗИТИВНИМИ перегрузками.
