Thank you so so much this has cheered me up a lot, i unfairly got predicted BCC when all my assignments and essays and work ethics are of As and i work hard all the time, i had 9s at gcse too.. the pandemic affected a lot, they didn’t give us much support i had to figure out everything alone... and now my opportunities are being reduced, I’m hoping through adjustments once i get the A*s the courses i really wanted to do will still be available at the unis i really wanted to go to:(

@@kslife2829 update: I am now at uni doing a course I really enjoy and everything has turned out well, everything happens for a reason and it all worked out at the end, very content.

@@Kiarasartt don’t worry!☺️ keep working hard doing the best that you can, it’s all we can do, never beat yourself up about anything that occurs, we will always end up being at the right place with what life has in hold for us, Y13 it’s the hardest time full of uncertainty, but all will be okay soon, keep going!

My teacher gave me a predicted grade of a C and my friend, who consistently scored lower than me in all our assessments, got predicted an A, predicted grades are absolutely messed up Update: I got a B and my friend got a D

It’s a rubbish system right?! Basically just keep asking your teachers to change them, and really show you’re working hard! And even email the unis explaining you situation- a lot of them will be more receptive than you might think. Good luck!

Savannah Phillips unfortunately in my case, it’s a bit too late to prove my teachers wrong since the deadline for school’s UCAS application is tomorrow but yh I’ll try emailing the unis. Thanks for the advise cos I really want to go to Nottingham too😅. And do you think a BBC prediction is really bad?

If u go to the vice principal or principal in your school they’ll change they changed my friends E to an A prediction system is flawed. Consider doing adjustment if u know you’ll get better at the end

I’m only here cuz my predicted gcse grades r trash, a 3 for English and a 2 for maths (and if I try I’ll get a 3). It’s quite insulting really that they put me in higher sets, I’m really bad at history and I’m still getting better grades than the things I try at, it just makes no sense that my English and maths teachers say I’m doing well and my teachers for my gcse subjects say I’m doing bad, fml

Would did you write in your passionate appeal towards your rejection? I had a interview from one of the uni’s I really wanted to go to but they rejected me, how do I do what you did without annoying them 🥺x

Hi!! So I emailed them explaining the reason for my predicted grades was because of a policy my school has, and also I had recently been diagnosed with depression, and I attached a doctors note to it. I had also said I was doing better now and would get the grades. So if you have any reasons why your grades or interview might not have been up to their standards then say :-) although this may be dependent on how nice the admissions tutor is... best of luck! At the time of applying I was so set on Warwick uni but I’m so much happier at Nottingham and really feel like I dodged a bullet with Warwick haha. And don’t worry about annoying them! They’re getting paid to do this hehe. It’s your future so fight for it! You’ve got this 😊🤍

Hi there ! This video helped me a lot and I’d like some advice for my current situation 😭 I got predicted an A*AB and C I need a n A*AA for my university. The C I got predicted was for further maths which is bizarre. We haven’t even covered a single bit of the furthermaths content until this year and my head of year just ASSUMES that furthermaths would be difficult for me. This guy placed a test with the hardest furthermaths questions and says that this exam will impact our predicted (bare in mind the top student in my class also found the test disgusting). I got into a fight with my head of maths (aka my maths teacher) today due to the test & my predicted and the predicted grades are coming out this Wednesday. I would rlly appreciate some advice from u

May I know how to ( in what format ) give the predicted grades to university ? Like is there some kinda application ?

No, as long as you get to write final exams, your final grades are all that matters. Predicted grades are only considered during an emergency like another covid spike, or A-level exams.
