I love how neat and tidy Savannah's medical stuff is. I'm chronically ill as well and have a surgically-placed jejostomy tube. I know how difficult it can being unwell at a young age. I'm thinking of your family and hoping you are all keeping safe during the panademic :)

Is her Malone used for irrigation? Sorry, if that’s completely wrong- I didn’t realise her irrigation routine had changed, I assumed the g tube was to drain the stomach and the Malone was for feeds (like a j tube), but now I’m thinking she feeds and drains through the g tube and the Malone is for irrigation?
@UniquelyZebras4 жыл бұрын
Yes she feeds through her Gtube and irrigations with the Malone.

What do the syringes look like? Fellow tubie here and there might be an easy solution to your syringe problem.

They are the normal ones for needle attachment. I'm hoping after she switches to the buttons we will be able to use them.

Do Not let her take regulia (it's a liquid medicine for acid reflux) i was on it and have some of the side effects. I had a Feeding tube as well. Had it removed but will eventually need it later down the road. Yes i'm 28 However; i was 12 yrs old, when I got My Feeding Tube and Trach. Thankfully she can have more of a normal teenager life experience than i did; I couldn't go to school, due to needing a nurse and all, so from 6th to graduation I was Homebound. If she has Facebook and wants to add me; I would be Happy to Accept, or even PenPals. I have some Lisa Franks Stickers that i can send her as well. I'm into Horses more than Unicorns 🙂
