yeah Im not a CDO. also i have to ask when intercropping rice with bean do you still continue flooding the field?

@@creepinglimongrass3276 With all the water shortages we need to shift to dry rice, research SRI - System of Rice Intensification. Safe 40 to 50% of irrigation water. SRI had 2 world records for yields. Cornell University in the USA is supporting SRI, we added the intercropping that makes dry rice feasible: Much less weeding with beans covering the groud between rice plants is the breakthrough. And an additional product, too.

One of the major advantages is that you need no flat plain, you are a lot more lexible with your plots. You can learn form the many SRI training centres or materials and then add the intercropping to make it iRice. I advise to plant trees to the side of the plots in Noth-South-orientation to have additional products, provide some shade to avoid overheating and conserve water.
