Pandora and Spotify are free to stream with paid options for more customization. I've been streaming Spotify through my car for years now.. SXM is behind the curve and I don't think they'll be around for much longer.

You are streaming on phone data versus satellite radio. Might as-well use a streaming service where you can have automated customized playlists that match your music taste more closely. On the plus you can stream 90%+ recorded tracks. Only 9.99/m

I’ve noticed if u cancel your service an u don’t use your car for 3 months u just park it then it won’t get the update signal that turns off your service 5 months later my radio is still working after I cancel it 8 months ago

I've got something astonishing to share. I purchased a 2011 Jeep Cherokee about a year ago. To cut a long story short, two days ago, while washing my vehicle, I decided I didn't like the radio antenna mounted on the top back section. I knew that unscrewing the antenna would mean I couldn't play local radio stations, but I went ahead and did it anyway. Now, for satellite radio, you typically have to call and provide an ID number, but there's also a preview channel. Out of curiosity, I wondered if my action would affect the satellite channel PREVIEW CHANNEL .. and it did! Now, I have access to 211 free satellite radio channels. IF IT WORKED ON MINE IT SHOULD WORK ON ANY 2011 GRAN JEEP CHEROKEE

So far, my 211 free channels are still available since I posted my last comment about removing my antenna. Yesterday, we had heavy rain where I live, and the signal was about 75% good. Interestingly, when I park my vehicle inside the garage, the signal cuts off immediately. However, as soon as I exit the garage, the signal comes back on. I suppose that’s the trade-off for removing the antenna. Overall, things are going well. I’m still puzzled about how removing the antenna activated the satellite radio signal. I never bothered to subscribe to Sirius XM after buying my vehicle, nor do I plan on subscribing. If my signal completely stops working, I’ll definitely post about it on your channel

I can tell yopu a real hack(at least in a 2019 dodge grand caravan). if your car hasnt had sirius in a while you can get a free trial with no commitment just by providing the sirius id in the website. nothing groundbreaking there. i had done this last summer and had added a couple of bands as favorites. after my trial had ended and the car was back in preview mode i was still getting the popup saying the artist had a song playing and by selecting listen it went straight to the channel and bypassed the subscription validation. Now after that all the channels are available. There is no way of adding a favorite(you can for sports) when you are in trial mode but it is possible to enable.disable the prompts. (i will post here how to get a refresh signal if mine stops working again)

That's how I'm doing it. My car doesn't have Sirius XM and I can't tune to channel 0 to find Radio ID .My husband has a Siuis xm subscription so just bluetooth stream off of his account

You did not find a hack or savings, you are just streaming a music source from your Phone. I can only imaging what your Data Plan / Bill looks like now. You probably spent more on Data on your Phone then it would have been to just legit buy the XM Service.

@@OldSchoolBMXTV Not true, up to 22gb high speed. Once you surpass that limit is can be throttled. You still get data. Besides, I use the app every day and it hasn't surpassed 50mb for a month.

@@MTMProductions Up to 22GB hit the Throttle limit, then AT&T for instance will slow your data on their network. You use the app every day, that's awesome, I am willing to bet you are also on WIFI which it why you are at 50MB of usage... Do me a favor, I have no clue where you live, turn off your WIFI, get in your vehicle and drive for about 6 Hours while using the SiriusXM app (Streaming). Don't predownload any content cause that would mean you did it on WIFI in all likelihood. Once you're done with your journey get back to me on what your bill is.

No sure I follow your question. If you're asking about radio installation you would not need to have it installed if it's already factory installed but if you just bought a compatible radio and your vehicle doesn't have compatibility then yes you will need to have it installed. If you've got a Bluetooth connection or aux connection I would just recommend getting the streaming service

It's going thru phone so 5G on the road. Wi-Fi is if you're just streaming from your phone directly while you're at home. You're still paying for the streaming subscription.

@@foodtechtoyreviews Unfortunately you're double paying for it essentially. The benefit of it being in the car is not having to pay the additional fee for data. In any case, more recently you get a free 3 months when you buy pizza hut online, so check that out :D
