Oh man, I cry every time. I was going through bad sh*t since 2019 and this became my theme song. I was in a hardcore band and my singer said just listen to this and as soon as it got to “something’s broken inside” I just lost it, hadn’t done that in ages. Not to sound cliche but really the power of music and how it works on our brains and psyche and soul is a gift. I’m so thankful that song came into my life so unexpectedly when I needed it most, so I try to share it and pass it on and I’ll do the same w/your beautiful rendition. Thank you! PS - I can see this tune becoming the next “Hallelujah” in a few years where it will show up in CW shows, car commercials and a sad one note piano version w/a female crooner at 40bpm for Netflix/theatrical trailers. I kid, but the song does have that power.

The other day I rode my bike to the store to get some beer, as I pulled up to the front of the store there was a group of kids hanging out asking for money. One kid @ 12 years old asked me " hey is that save me your listening to" ? I said yeah buddy it is! You know who j.r. is? He asaid yeah I love that guy and save me is my favorite song! That song is so deep and emotional, and I get teared up everytime I hear it. Can't imagine how a 12 yr old homeless kid could love that song so much in his situation! I gave the kid 20 bucks and my phone # and told him to call me anytime! I think about him everyday in hopes he's doin ok
