I know Minecraft Story Mode will return soon, my brother works at the new Telltale Games company and said that they're in the works of getting MCSM back and continue building the Minecraft Game Saga. Edited: Season 3 might come out between 2027 - 2028 or something like that, IDK much more.

Yes,that's what we should do. This series deserves a revival, and it's been like 5 years since Telltale came back, so that's a bonus. I just hope if mcsm comes back,it better come back onto every didgital gaming store, and that includes steam.

SORRY TO BREAK THE NEWS I have always loved the Minecraft story mode series, I grew up playing the first episodes on my iPad. And watched the series on KZbin. As much as I love the series, I’m sad to say it’s not coming. At least not rn. Telltale games is currently in the works of wolf among us 2. And they’re struggling in the production. Now if the game ends up being released and it does good, then telltale might consider regaining the ips of mcsm and work on it. ( but the possibilities of that happening are very low )

True, they did shut down, but they were revived in 2021 after assets were purchased in 2019 by another company. They’re now working on TWAU2 - just check their socials!

@@theskysoldier season 2 was just an attempt by Mojang to prevent tailtale games from dying, and it didn’t work, they remained bankrupt, also, that’s not the same tailtale games, it’s another company that changed its name to tailtale games soon after the original tailtale games went bankrupt, with the company’s original name being LGC entertainment Inc

Sorry to disappoint but I'd rather just give you the truth. This is cool and all and you might get the games more available again but you aren't going to get a new game (or "season") made. It's not just a matter of proving that people want it. You have to actually have writers, directors, and producers involved. This type of thing would cost millions of dollars so even a million petition signatures wouldn't get that done. Also Telltale games went bankrupt. They don't exist anymore. Technically the name "Telltale games" is still used, but that's a different company that now owns their assets.

I understand where you’re coming from, but a couple things in regards to what you’ve said: 1. If we can only get the games relisted, that’d already be enough. And if they do well if relisted, that would likely lead to a third game. 2. TellTale did go bankrupt yes, but their assets were purchased in 2019 and now they’re currently working on TWAU2. And the team over here has proof that they’d be willing to make a third game (ie mentioning it various times, loving the series as much as the fans but can’t make anything because of rights/IP), so really we’re just pushing to get Mojang’s attention. You’re right, it takes a lot of time, effort, passion, and resources. But I think we’ve got a shot.

Y'know you don't need to be a major in graphics design to do modeling, material-creation, or uv-mapping to start modeling, nor have the best singing voice to Voice Act, or have the computer science level knowledge to start coding. Especially for a game that is mostly cubes and pixelated assets. I already model as a hobby. The only valid argument is that the project could not legally be enforceable by any means. but that hardly matters if nobody is taking care of the game anyway. Like my state illegalized fireworks, but who's gonna stop the guys from raining them on 4th of july? Also when I said that lots of people do not take telltale game's revival into account, I was being genuine. A pretty significant minority seems to not know that, like they've never ran into some media presence of telltale games. I'm not trying to be rude with you. but yeah, obviously there is no chance to get telltale games to do anything. Especially since they had already sold their rights of the game to netflix, then netflix dropped it from there. im thankful enough that we can atleast play the game on steam if its in our library. Had it not been sold on steam, that would've been a real rap when you see what other platforms had done.
