Great video. Can I just ask, your Remora. Is it icing up, or does your auto-defrost kick in and sort it out? Can we get a look at how it's coping with the very cold weather, please? The reason I ask is that ours is struggling. I may have to put the inline back on, and I really don't want to. Thanks.

Thanks for watching. I've not really noticed any icing up but I wouldn't be surprised that the heat exchange freezes over in this weather if it is exposed to the wind. The defrost should sort it out though. It may just look worse than it actually is due to the air temps around

Unfortunately where I am in Canada we pay for every drop of water we use and our waste water charge is based on that as well at almost double the water use rate. I wish our water supplier would give pond owners a break like for many in the UK but no such luck here. 😢

Hi your videos are really informative, I have some questions though. I want to raise my own koi fry what size of a tank should I use and also what kind of material should the tank be made of, thank you.

That is a tough question as everyone's budget and lifestyle are different. I've always used Food Dolav's or IBC's with capacities of between 400 & 800 litres. It depends what you can afford or what you can get your hands on. You could have anything from a hole in the ground to any old tub and just line it with PVC liner. Check out E Bay & Facebook. The other thing is that due to the volume of fish and the feeding rate you will need to have a good turn over rate and as larger filter as you can get.

The default setting is every 20 minutes unless the screen gets dirty. Having said that it only runs for about 10 to 20 seconds and only uses a couple of litres per clean so it doesn’t use much.
