I made crunchwraps last week and I didn’t have tostadas, I just subbed a few tortilla chips and it worked great! Also, you don’t have to cut another tortilla circle, I just tore a tortilla in several pieces and used those. No waste. So yummy!

Cabbage lasts for a long time in the fridge in a zip lock bag with a paper towel in it. It can be shredded and added to lettuce to and beef up your salad.

McDonald rehydrates their onions. Lol They take the dry onions and they add enough water to cover them and let them stand for about an hour if my memory serves me. lol

The burger is steamed some with its tortilla lid and its juices flavor the tortilla. It still gets cooked, why wouldn't it?. And I for one don't want my burger well done. I wouldn't do it all separate as I don't think it would be the same. If it bothers you fry one side of the hamburger, flip that side up and then smash tortilla down onto it. Then flip to get a crisp tortilla. Of course you do have the risk then of drying out a very thin burger meant to cook hot and fast for a very sort period of time and I think lose that steam/moisture effect. Just my opinion though--I think there is reason to do it the way it is and the result is so good because of it.
