The selection of 2000's anime openings could have way been better. Air, Black Butler, Spice and Wolf, Pandora Hearts, Bakemonogatari, Welcome to the N.H.K, Clannad, Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd, Blood+, Full Metal Panic and Baccano. All of these anime are either more popular or had better openings than some of the other 2000's anime openings in this video.

Its because you only remember the classics from the 2000s. You dont remember the ton of mid and bad animes from back then, while recent animes are fresh enough that you do. We're also only in the 4th year of the 2020s so there are alot less classics. Youre also probably nostalgic.

B. Naruto Shippuden. Sorry Oshi no Ko, but Ikimino Gakari's Blue Bird is forever to me. B. Inuyasha. Mashe's op is fun, but this is Inuyasha we're talking about. B. Death Note. Hard choice but the aesthetics of the Death Note OP are iconic. B. FMAB. AGAIN BY YUI, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE FAMOUS A. Bastard! Has a better song. (out of context this sounds so insulting lol) A. Chainsaw Man. Still haven't watched Fairy Tail so I don't have as much nostalgia for it B. Shaman King. Full nostalgia for this choice lolol A. Zom 100. Like the song better. B. Great Teacher Onizuka. Hard choice since I like the animation styles and songs of both, but I liked Onizuka slightly more A. Konming. Sorry Elfen Lied, your opening is gorgeous... But Im not immune to a cheeky bop B. Bleach op 1. ASTERISK will always be one of my fav openings and songs in anime of ALL TIME. B. Gintama. Could care less about AOT B. Samurai Champloo. Odd Taxi is a cute anime with a good op, but it cannot compare to Samurai Champloo. Its got Nujabes. A. Ranking of Kings. Love the song! A. Spy x Family. While some were weak, overall I still enjoyed the ops of the 2000's more lol, so I didn't have as hard a time choosing as I expected.

With every fiber in my body, I HATE this video. Not because of the creator or the quality of the video, no. They just HAD to make me choose between 2022 Beach and Bleach. So Mr. NitoAnimeList please don't me choose between peak or peak. Because I literally had to get up at 3:17 (Eastern Time) in the morning and get another laptop because I was originally watching the video on my school Chromebook. B is completely underperforming. We have so many incredibly good anime from the 2000s, why are such nulpes included? Am I the only one who thinks Blue Bird is very overrated. If anything I think Blue Bird is a basic song and I don’t think it deserves to be among the greatest OP’s of all time. On the other hand, I don’t think Idol is up there with the best OP’s of all time, but it’s still a great song and I would put it in my top 50 anime OP’s of all time.
