Amanda, did you know the Chloe bag is made out of hand-woven WFTO-certified paper? Yes, it's made out of paper hence the lower price. A lot of people think it's made out of raffia but it's actually paper.

I just got chanel tote in black and I absolutely love love it. I was going to get the same color you got, but worried it will get dirty easily. Love beige too. Thinking to get one more in beige. This bag is so light and goes well with any outfits. An organizer helps alot.

Totally agree on the Chanel deuville. I have a pink leather one and recently got the pearl one. I absolutely love them! They are by far my prettiest bags but definitely not the most practical for regular wear and not year round bags either. I don't regret either of them and I paid a ridiculous amount because I couldn't get them anywhere. However, I know I will love them for years to come.

I've always loved straw and raffia bags, but I agree with you. It wasn't until recently that I started to invest on designer brands with this particular type of bags. I didn't think I should do that until I had a good collection of leather handbags and more practical bags. Plus like you, I live in south TX where it feels like summer most of the year so I can get a lot of wear out of these handbags. I've been wearing my Woody tote and my Deauville handbag non-stop. I also have the Loewe basket bag and I wear that one every time we go to the beach. I would love to own a straw bag from Prada. They're beautiful!

I ended up splurging recently and bought the deauville bag in light pink! I should’ve at least went for a darker color but the pink one was too pretty I couldn’t resist the color! I was wondering if you protect it with any fabric protection spray. Been researching on KZbin but haven’t found and solid answers. Thinking of using either scotch guard, Cadillac Shield, or Carbon pro but I can’t decide because I am afraid it will damage the bag. I also haven’t used the bag because I am afraid it will get dirty. 🥲

I so agree with your perspective on the Chanel Deauville. I also purchased the small size in a different color way when it launched this spring after owning a larger one and selling it. I love the bag and I’m so happy to have it, but as far as spending my money wisely I have to be honest and say it’s not a bag that is worth that price tag for what it is. Do I love it? YES! Am I glad I got it? YES! But I also have a collection of handbags and this isn’t one I wear everyday, it just had my heart and made me happy so to me it was a splurge I was willing to make.
