ཨ་ཅག་ལགས་ནས་ཡག་པོ་གསུང་སོང་ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཆེ་ དུས་ནམ་བྱུང་ལ་ས་ཆ་གང་སར་བོད་དོན་ཐོག་སྐུ་ངལ་བསྐྱོན་རོགས་གནང་ བོད་རྒྱལ་ལོ་ བོད་རང་བཙན་རྒྱལ་ལོ།། Tibet was an independent country but invaded by communist China in 1949/50. Most unfortunately, India remained a spectator when Tibetan was illegally occupied by communist China! In those days, the Chinese duped Nehru and Krishna Murthy and used very deceptive rhetoric of “Asian solidarity” and “anti-colonial” rhetoric to deceive the Indian leadership. The Indian leadership bought the Chinese rhetoric and started a brief bromance known as “Hindi-Chini-Bhai-Bhai! But It was short lived and by 1962, China invaded India and humiliated it. Today’s Indo-Tibet border conflict is the direct result of India’s apathetic attitude to the Chinese invasion and subsequent occupation of Tibet. Tibet served as a buffer state between China and India for centuries but the Chinese occupation of Tibet changed the whole Indo-Tibet border dynamics. It is therefore in India’s national interest to support independence of Tibet to secure India’s northern border to its historical levels for eternity!
