A step by step guide to a beautiful vertical manifold design for assemblers and Episode 4 of my efficient electromagnetic control rod factory gameplay in Satisfactory Update 6.
Watch to get some tips on how to build up, not out, and save some space on all of your Satisfactory builds. This factory is compact while still looking good.
This factory outputs 135 stators per minute with inputs of 1080 wire per minute and 405 steel pipes per minute.

I did a similar build for Smelters, Constructors, Assemblers, and Manufacturers, each crammed into 4x4 patterns so I could blueprint them and print out a whole tower in seconds. Manufacturers actually used 2 adjoining 4x4 layouts to get all the belts and splitters in. Included interior walkways and stairs.

I like it. My Assetcounting self would probably switch the redirecting mergers for plain conveyers. No idea, which variant claims more computer resources, though. I like your nature preserving sentiment. I'm always working around trees and try to make my buildings fit into the landscape. It's really hard to let go for me.
@DrLootCrate
@DrLootCrate Жыл бұрын
It might come back to haunt me to say this, but *fingers crossed* my machine is handling all of this pretty well. Still easily getting over 60 fps at 2k. The auto save length is a whole different story! I try my best on the nature but it is pretty hard. The designs like some of Stin Archi’s are mind blowing what you can do with the flora.

They really need to add the ability to split directly off a vertical conveyorbelt so we can stop alternating floor hole input/outputs.

Think you could give us all a thought process for placement of your vertical factories? Also, do you build the buildings first, after figuring out your dimensions, or do you build the shell as you build the internals?
@DrLootCrate
@DrLootCrate Жыл бұрын
I almost always build the machines and make the designs around that. I have a rough idea of where I want to put each building and how they will connect, but let the landscape dictate where I specifically put it. After playing the game as much as I have, I have a pretty good sense of how much space is needed for each kind of machine and their belt work. It is just a matter of deciding how much to put on each floor, laying out the platform needed for the first floor, and go from there
@yuriikrasylovych3939

Nice just a question, how do computers deal with all the glass? Is it horrible when working on a larger scale or does satisfactory deal with glass well?
@DrLootCrate
@DrLootCrate Жыл бұрын
I used to play on a laptop with marginal specs and it definitely would slow down around a lot of glass (which normally comes along with a lot of items in a factory). Think seconds per frame. 😆 I built a computer in June with the main purpose of playing Satisfactory (AMD 5600x, Radeon 6750XT) and get an easy 60 FPS on ultra at 2k. So a midrange new computer doesn’t have a problem, but it is putting out some heat 🔥

9:22 - why do you need the upper merger? Why not just a belt?
@DrLootCrate
@DrLootCrate Жыл бұрын
That is the only way that you can have the lifts in a straight line going down. If not you have to alternate them from one side to another, which is a bit annoying and doesn’t look as good IMO.
@EwEs23
@EwEs23 Жыл бұрын
@@DrLootCrate I think what he means is connecting the two lifts with a belt where the merger is now. It seems to be bit easier to aligne the lifts with a merger, but to my eye, atleast, a belt would be somewhat cleaner looking.
