Save The 120 - Part 2 [ Green Hair Algae Strikes Back! ]

How well did Vibrant Reef Aquarium Cleaner work after the first week? Is the green hair algae and turf algae still trying to bury our coral after firing this magic bullet? In this second installment of our Save The 120 series, we cover all of those questions and more. The clown fish had a big surprise for us while filming this episode too, so don’t miss out on that.
This 120 gallon reef tank is the latest battleground in the war on green hair algae (GHA). If you are just joining us, make sure you check out the first part of this series to see how everything looked before we started. The DIY turf algae scrubber has been offline since we started the Vibrant Reef Cleaner doses last week. The bio pellet reactor has still not been touched and has a slow flow going through it, just as it was in part 1. Our protein skimmer was brought back online to skim out the dying green hair algae, red slime algae, turf algae and anything else that is being killed off by the weekly use of Vibrant Reef Aquarium Cleaner. Lastly, we have 2 large filter socks installed on the drain lines that are changed every few days.
