There is no way , on any planet , your lazy girl ! Your like the Energizer Bunny lol That door is so beautiful. The wood is amazing, and of course you picked one of the hardest colors , red. Someone told me after I used a few gallons painting a game room, if I had the primer tinted like the paint it would have only taken two coats 😱 lesson learned lol We moved to a lake and the home we bought when we retired a few years ago has heavy duty metal doors🤢 but the wood ones we looked at were to expensive for us right now. So I’m checking Facebook Sales and resale stores for a nice wood door 👍🏻😁 I wonder how the swing would look red????

The door is really coming along nicely! A trick for painting around glass/windows a professional painter told me once was to not use tape. Just paint how you would, not worrying about getting some paint on the glass. After the paint dries you just gently scrap it off the glass using a sharp blade (a metal putty knife works pretty good). I have done this a lot and it really works.

I was thinking about the opening from the mail sloth. You saying you don't use it anymore. What if you were to saw a piece of mdf wood in the same shape nail it in place from the outside part of the door. That way you could fill up the seem with woodstopper, repaint the inside of the door and you wouldn't even see it anymore from the inside of the house. You wouldn't have to keep that piece of tape on there anymore and you wouldn't get the cold from the wind anymore either :). Doing a great job there! Lovely colour

The wine red door is great against the brown siding! I would suggest recovering or buying deck chair cushions that match the red as it will pull everything together. The bright teal looks off.

Love the color. You should cut a block of wood to fill in the mail slot. Glue it in place as best as you can. You can then fill in the remainder with insulation. On the inside you can then do the best you can filling gaps with wood puddy. Sand smooth. You are doing a great job!!!

The red goes well with the siding. I am a matchy matchy girl so I like that your outside doors match even though you can’t see them together. That teal to match the cushions would have been a great option too.

Frog tape is the superior painters tape. Cleaner results. If you every have a project were you feel like using tape again.

Instead of the mail slot hardware I would suggest a brass kick plate inside & outside with some insulation in the hole. It would protect the bottom of the door from shoes & the elements & would give the door more pizzazz!!!

Improvements, prettifying, --- Another of your good works at upgrading and improving. ~~ Note, learned a lot of the putting together this movie by reading the letters on IMdB. Stunning. Those working on this film, I suppose with Jackson's instruction --- found and 'employed' certain people --- ordinary? people whose accents might well match those on the films. This gathering of help INCLUDED lip readers. I wish I had read this 'back story' before viewing 1917. What the boys speaking on camera were saying (silently of course) was filled in by putting all that together for this film. I will rent it again. What a gift Jackson's labors brought for posterity.

I have a red door, at first I wasn't sure about red I'm very neutral when it comes to colors in my home but my husband had to have the bold red so we did it and l ❤️ love it you did a great job you're such a hard worker enjoy the pool you deserve it!

You deserve that reward. Our community pool isn't opening this year. I've got to paint my front door. The Granny Smith green I painted it ten years ago has faded. Mine does have a frame around the window with 2 white vertical strips inside the double-pane glass. Last time, I painted the frame same color as the door. Regretted it ever since.
