SAVE THE SKYLINES | Poor Man's GTR [EP2]

In this Episode of Broken Silvia we finally get to pick up the R34 Skyline and begin the rebuild! Throughout the summer months the poor car sat in the corner collecting dust and cooking in the sun. The car was straight away sent over to Pep's workshop (panel beater and fellow neighbour) to replace the existing radiator support.

Just to clarify! In most countries it is easy to re-register an unregistered vehicle (US for example) that has been in an accident while in Australia it is a bit of a process. We have strict rules and guidelines to follow for an unregistered vehicle with an accident history before it can be approved for registration. Yes, this R34 was in an accident and insurance paid out the previous owner but it is still registered and has a 'No Write Off Record'. This is a huge bonus as all I do is pay a yearly fee even though I am not driving the car which is a bummer. Everybody has seen the damage by now so having a 'No Write Off Record' on paper for re-sale purposes doesn't mean much. In saying that the car will never go for sale. Hope that explains a few things to overseas viewers :D

I'm from the UK and I'm also doing a poor man's GTR! using GTR panels. And just today I've started welding in my new slam panel and cross member due to rust and a small accident. GTR rear fenders will be delivered next week, so I will need to get the rear screen and side glass removed.

Hope you have deep pockets. 34 gtrs are currently 100k+ NZD. And going on history, when the 32s became american fed legal they tripled in value. Can absolutely guaruntee the same will happen with r34s and there was less of them made.
