I am so relieved that my daughters are now adults, and have good jobs.. Had they been in the education system now, I would have removed them without hesitation, and home schooled. Our education was seen as the best in the world once, what is happening will impact future generations for decades.. I could cry at what's happening to our great nation..

My 16 year old daughter who lives with her mother ,says that I am brainwashed by KZbin.when I point out she is brainwashed by the establishment she asked "what's the establishment?"....I rest my case . I will be taking my son out of school at 16 and teach him my trade

Home schooling/education is the only way to go, my aunt did it with her daughters and they're majoring in the fields, they chose to study for their careers.

Exactly, their not pushed into a curriculum that suits few. It's all about the school, and it's wellbeing, the pupil comes a product. And for whatever reason, the child laggs behind, or just doesn't get on,be it bullying or bad teachers, they're put down as special needs,what a joke.

Education has nothing to do with it. The only way to ensure physical safety for your kids now is to home school them. The education comes secondary.

A friend of mine, who is volunteering to teach sea and air cadets, had to teach 13 and 14 year olds to read the time on an analogue clock. That's state education for you, excellent.

I home schooled my daughter from the age of 13 and she went on to Uni to do first degree, then onto Masters and then onto further post grad professional qualification. She achieved these doing subjects she/we felt she needed or wanted to do. She went onto uni a year earlier as she wasn't tied into the "system" and could work at her pace. She had a tutor for maths as I wasn't confident in this area. We joined a home schooling group locally and enjoyed meet ups and shared educational outings etc It can work incredibly well and I would recommend to anyone.

Although they still went to a regular school my daughter and her husband also home schooled along side regular school as they believe the system is deliberately holding children back from learning. My granddaughter flew through her exams and is entering uni a year early and my grandson who is younger is in a year above his age group at school. The system is designed to slow the education down and with the right tuition pupils flourish in a way the system is trying to prevent

I pulled my (then) 12yr old daughter out of state school last Easter. The best decision I ever made and wish I had done so sooner! She is thriving, happier, and moreover SAFE!!! ❤

I'm a qualified Lecturer and I took my children out of the education system. They are all successful in their own rights. I now teach children who are home schooled. The education has not been fit for purpose since 2004 imo. Education Otherwise supported me.

My husband and I have been home educating our youngest 2 children for 9 years...they are teens -and thriving❤ We regret we did not do so with our older 6 children, all who were finished or finishing school at this point. We did start home educating our oldest son in 1994, but it was hard to find like-minded community back then, and the health visitor convinced me it wasn't quite legal, so we stopped, sadly.

Love Godders, im a huge fan, but wish he was leading our country or even just my county of North Yorkshire. He gets my vote every time. I worked in a Higher Education quango all my life as a researcher in educational studies and have seen how it has plummeted since the late 90s. I have many friends who home schooled their children even back then because they could see how the state failed their children. My husband went to Howsam Hall as a boarder from a very young age and left with no qualifications, but a very sore backside from his daily beatings.

KEEP YOUR CHILDREN OFF THE SCREENS. Its become a babysitting device, for stupid parents. Teach your children how to tell the time,how to write ,how to think for themselves. Mental arithmetic, etc,most people are capable of having a child,different thing bringing one up.

Home tuition is not the only way forward, there is Summerhill School, also the smaller schools are important to local life, get together as teachers and open your own shared school.

The school system was bad when I grew up . I am sixty seven. Why parents trusted their systems I don't know ., I did the same too sorrow. It was worse . But I didn't see it then now I do . Wake up teach your kids and kids need to know how to cook , eat , fix households things too .I met many that didn't know how to cook a egg .

I'm based in East Anglia. Zero experience in these studies but i have taught construction and safety and logistics. I have all the qualifications. I would be willing to facilitate locally. But I can't afford to pay for a DBS transport and hours. If anyone is interested and can compensate me work the above im eager to help anyone get their kids away from school.

They will be broke soon, and may further increase our leanings towards commi ideology. It's already rampant in the education system as mentioned by Godfrey, and home education is one possible solution. Problem is the syllabus material is same as a school's.
