Save Your Favorite Sweet Potato Variety To Plant In Your Garden Every Year

I have grown sweet potatoes from the tubers I bought from a supermarket. What I've found is that you need to buy an organic sweet potato or it has been treated to not sprout. You can get tons of splits from one sweet potato. I've never considered taking the plants in. I think your idea is better. I would rather take it from a known plant that has done well in your garden than an unknown tuber. I'll have to give it a shot. Thanks.

Yes, I have tried starting with organic potatoes. I get them going eventually, but sometimes it takes a really long time to get going and I'm stuck with fewer plants than I'd like when it's time to plant them out.
