most other PTs online talk about hunching or sitting all day but my shoulder impingement came from throwing too much jabs and hooks without letting my dislocated shoulder properly heal

Great tips. The pain from the first exercise on my shoulder impinged side 😮 Can I ask if this will irritate or help my impingement. With holding my arm up when sparring out at length it's become too much I've had to stop training

Would depend what damage was done. I dislocated my shoulder and had a popular yt chiro guy pop It back in. Didn’t realize It was even out as I just learned to live with the pain. I’m trying these exercises now but as I said, every situation is different

2:15 aren’t you putting your shoulder in internal rotation? Because thumbs down if you do lateral raises is terrible for your shoulders is that the same thing here?

Is it just for prevention of does it help even if the pain is already there?. I started boxing 3 months ago. Fall in love with the sport. I want to train every day. But my body says no. My rotator cuff almost always inflames and I have to take 3-4 days off. And It’s depressing. Am going to try this exercise. Thanks :)

I have temporarily dislocated my shoulders (never had to pop them back in, just felt the ball slip out of the socket during the movement + PAIN) several times throwing punches, almost always with hooks. I am having it looked at by a doctor and I am going to demand a specialist confirms whether the shoulder/s need surgery. However my basic question to anyone knowledgeable is; what is it exactly, positionally, that makes my shoulders dislocate when I throw hooks? Apart from the good possibility that my joints may be fucked for good and that they are the real reason... is it that my shoulder is too elevated + a violent swinging motion? Is the shoulder extended too far out + swing? Etc. Since they don't always pop, what is the wrong position for a shoulder to be in when throwing a hook? Wrong in the sense that dislocation is probable. Thanks!!!

Hi Daskie - how are you getting along with your shoulder issue now? The reason I ask is that I dislocated my right shoulder three weeks ago and haven't been able to work out since. It was put back into place the same day. I have the normal movement back but it is quite sore and I will get shooting pains if I move suddenly. I want to start training again, boxing in particular but I fear that I am not going to be able to for a while. I hope you can respond. Thanks

I have messed up my shoulder twice. First time I went fisio it got better now both are in pain and can't even press a door open without feeling my weak shoulders falling off. Has there anyone here recovered from totator cuff tears ? I'm really scared of not to be able to do mma and muay thai anymore
