What you're discussing is true with any kind of discrimination. Being gaslighted into shutting up doesn't help. If something is an issue to you, it's an issue. God gave us a brain so we can resolve problems and do practical actions to change the situation. I've been struggling for years trying to get others to take me seriously including in the church. They are too lazy to find out how best to help. This feels so painful and rejecting like dismissal. Saying forgive is a cop out to enable others to ignore your needs. It is very bad. We have to show each other genuine love.
