In the first tell'n of the story, The Fly'n Dutchman be a ghost ship that can never make port that be captained by a sailor named Cap'n Hendrick. The First tell'n of Davy Jones be a tale of an evil spirit that lurks the abyss. (On basic terms, he be the grim reaper of the sea.) But the original legend never told of him sail'n a ship of any kind. And the legend never told that he had control over any sea beast, let alone the Kraken.

Shoot the ship that's literally doing nothing to us in the distance I had the same thing happen to me. I just started the game and went to a small island to collect supplies. I noticed a Galleon in the distance that was appearing to loot a neighboring island. When I went back to my ship I noticed it sailing straight at me, so I raised my sail and did a 180 upwind for a bit. Not even a minute later the water turned black and I was screaming in my head wondering why I was so damn unlucky. After a bit I noticed that nothing was happening to me, but the Galleon behind me started firing, but they shouldn't have been in range of me yet. I turn around and laughed hysterically as the Kraken started to attack THEM. Of course I took the time to get out, get behind them and fill their ship with holes to appease my savior. The Kraken was well fed that day.

That is exactly how I wish the Kraken to be like in SOT. If a ship is chasing another ship with treasure then they sink the ship they get a small roar basically telling them "hey that ones find but dont do stuff like that alot ok?" if they do it again a louder roar occures and small tentecals come and poke holes in your ship before going away basically saying: that guy had treasure and was probebly taking it to port, why did you ruin their game?" and if they do it a third time the Kraken fully appears this only will happen if the person they are chasing is a solo player becasue a multi-crew VS a solo player is completely unfair

The Kraken is a special AI, set to attack the larger crew ship for most cases. It doesn't keep it from attacking solo players as well, but scenes like this happen all the time with me too, when playing by myself or with one of my friends. Kraken is ya boi.

this reminds of the time i was sailing with a friend he was part of a different crew and we were sailing together to take out a skeleton fort with his crew and mine anyways once we were started sailing back I mentioned that the water around us had turned pitch black his voice suddenly got scared as he looked at me and said we have to go now at this point I knew what was going on I told my crew to put down on the sails full speed we escaped but my friends crew wasn't so lucky I looked back to see him being devoured by the beast and canons firing as I turned around at a last ditch attempt to save his crew we did get all of them but sadly my friend was the only one I ....... didn't save I , I will never forget that day the Kraken struck

It was kind of hard, but I got out okay and the other guy ran off, so the kraken was a bit of a blessing. BTW, I've been playing for around 3 days, and on my second day I had to fight off the kraken by myself, so... Maybe I have a mixture of terrible luck and good luck.
