I have taken to just rescuing the guts of these older units. Good job saving their lives!

not a bad way to go about it. I'm just using them as an excuse to break out the soldering iron. Also saves them from landfill

Welll haha, I either give them away, sell them or the sit in storage and I break them out every few months to play some games on. Or muck around with. Thankfully I have room to keep them

Haha yeah it sure does. I got a bit of a shock when I popped the lid off it
