I have really wondered why the apostles believed that they were living in the last days. Because they clearly did believe that. The interesting thing is is that Yeshua said there were other things that He wanted to share with them but that they were not yet ready (could not bear) to receive and I really wonder if one of those things was that it was going to be another 2000 years before His return. You see I think that it really would have taken a lot of the wind out of their sails to understand that it would be still yet another 2000 years. Their sense of urgency is what propelled the faith throughout all known territory at that time. This really was very important to the kingdom of God. And also it seems to me that in every period of time, there have been believers who believed that it was close to the time of the end. And I think there is purpose in that and that is to keep sharing the truth of the Gospel to every people and land, or otherwise people would maybe begin to doubt it would ever happen and faith would die out long before now. The Messiah and the Father needed the apostles to be fearless and to risk everything to spread and teach about the kingdom of God. I'm not trying to judge the apostles in any way, but how do you feel that it might have impacted their sense of urgency if they understood that it was going to be another 2000 years ? I truly think it was the mercy of God to allow them to believe did His return was imminent.

You do understand that the word "Christ", is not a name, but a common title that stems from Greek paganism, khristos? Hades, Zeus and Tammuz are "khristos", and the people worshiping them, Christians, as a Christian is someone who follows a Christ. But the moment someone uses it, I am forced to ask, "Which one?". If they are sitting in a pew for Sun-day worship, forsaking the 7th day Sabbath, celebrating Christmas, the birth of Tammuz, or the death of Tammuz, Easter, Ezekiel 8, and eating a pig to celebrate it, I know it isn't the Hebrew Messiah, Yeshua. This very reason, the paganism, is why they had to change the Son's name, and the mother's. Rome calls "Mary the mother of Jesus", the Queen of Heaven.. But she, the mother and wife of Tammuz, is mentioned in Jeremiah 7, just before He warns people about erecting christmas trees in their houses in Jeremiah 10. John 14:6 Yeshua said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life! No one comes to the Father except through Me. 7 If you have come to know Me, you will know My Father also. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him.” How many ways? "No one comes to the Father except through Me" So only one way, correct? Since you rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being My kohen. Since you forgot the Torah of your God, just so I will forget your children. Proverbs 28:9 One who turns his ear from hearing Torah -even his prayer is an abomination. All we can do as servants, is spread the true word and pray the Holy Spirit is allowed to inform them and open their eyes. His sheep hear His voice. That they let Him open their eyes. But, with the aid of the Holy Spirit, what shouldn't we know? And all these people need to answer, "Can the Holy Spirit lead people to sin?" Could the Holy Spirit lead you to forsake the 7th day Sabbath to sit in a pew for Sun-day worship? You know, not a single Christian has ever called me out on that term, the hundreds, maybe thousands of times I have used it. "Sun-day worship". The worship of their sun god, "Sun-day worship." But to your point, trying to speak for God and what He will find acceptable, how many unrepentant sins will you survive Judgement Day with? Like Christianity, and Judaism, and Islam, all three man made religions that depart from Torah, trying to tell God what He finds acceptable, and what He doesn't, when His Word already does. I am not a Christian. I used to be, and then He showed me Luke 1:33. I should mention this is after a couple miracles. I shouldn't be here talking to you. I know people say things like that, but the last miracle being a vasospasm in my speech center 11 days after a brain aneurysm, misdiagnosed and sent home twice, and 3 days after the surgery to sew it back up. 24 hours after I blacked out due to pain in my head sitting in ICU. The doc sees me in pain and asks, and I just blacked out. I start to come to, and at first, just sound starts to bleed in, and all the sudden, like someone standing close to my head, speaking directly into my ear, "People are praying for you.", and I open my eyes and there wasn't a person within 50 feet of me. This all begins 12 years prior when I survived an industrial accident, falling headfirst, feet straight up, 16 ft. Broke both wrists, right elbow, both shoulders damaged, neck injury and lower back injury and a brain injury, and I walked around in a fog for 12 years having headaches. It is one of those headaches that stops me from seeking medical help when it burst as it just felt like one of my regular headaches. I walk out of the hospital 12 says after surgery. He then leads me to Torah and removes all that paganism others seem not to worried about, but like the golden calf, as well as not obeying a commandment, the only one, with a death sentence. This choice, to follow Him and Torah, has cost me siblings, Christian siblings who won't let go of the paganism and defend it like it's no big deal, and don't seem to bother by the 7th day Sabbath nor His true name. But it says to no be equally yoked to non believers. You seem to be under the impression that's fine, as they believe, the problem is though, their belief isn't producing action. John 5:46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me. 47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?” How did things work out for them, and the people who built the golden calf? I do not judge who goes up, or who goes down. Not my job. Just what the cost of those sins would be. Exodus 32. A perpetual sign between Him and His people. A death sentence on the witness of two or more, before He defeated that pagan cross they all worship. Would He be a just God to cut off those people, but let Christians walking around spitting on it, misquoting Colossians, not understanding it is a warning for believers against those that don't? "16 Therefore, do not let anyone pass judgment on you in matters of food or drink, or in respect to a festival or new moon or Shabbat." When He showed me His true name, my heart leapt. I tried and continue to share it with Christians who follow a 200-year-old name. I am hated for His true name. The vitriol I have received, was, I have to admit, shocking. But it led me to the belief that it is spiritual deception. With all of Christianity avoiding the Torah, as part of their belief and misunderstanding of what, "under the law" means, , means putting yourself under a rabbi, what do we do with Proverbs 28:9? They consider His law and Sabbath to be an abomination, all the while they celebrate Weeping for Tammuz/Easter, an abomination, Ezekiel 8, and according to His Word, their prayers are an abomination. Their prayer for salvation just after listening to a man tell them to avoid the law like the plague? I will give you a couple other things to consider.
