@@lengthylexicons Yes that is definitely how I think they work. The "helpers" are probably there all the time but what I would call the "performers" probably do many roles. I dont think the same guy does it 7 days a week and 12 hours per day. To be fair that hilt building thing won't have as many people going through as we think. You spend 20 minutes building and then they reset everything for another 20 minutes. They really only do it a dozen times during an 8 hour shift. I just saw another video of it and it was the short lady with the glasses doing the presentation and the tall guy was not there.

In 2021, the entire land will be closed and bulldozed (no more 1960's era buildings, the subs, autopia and old people mover will be gone), the only thing that will remain will be Space Mountain but heavily renovated to fit the new atmosphere when the land reopens in 2025. Just in time for Disneyland's 70th anniversary, the new Tomorrowland will have will have 2 new e-ticket attractions, including the Tron-cycle rollercoaster with loops.

The workshop experience only allows you to choose between the color that appeared in the films, but there's a separate store next door where you can purchase yellow and white, colors that so far appeared only in the shows. You can also purchase the other three colors you didn't go with at Savi's if you want to.

I went to Disneyland with my mom just yesterday and we went to Galaxy's Edge for the first time. One of the things we did there was build our Lightsabers at Savi's workshop. I built my Defense and Protection saber with a green blade and Susen built her Peace and Justice with a purple blade. It was so much like a Jedi training. ☺

I went there on 31st with the second group at 11am and they closed the shop because it was backed up for four hours. I went back at 2pm and they still had the shop closed and still told me that it's backed up for 4 hours. I was very disappointed among a lot of other people. Build a saber was not kind to many people. They need to figure on how to give a chance for others when it opens to the public with no RSVP, it's going to be chaos

Yeah this reminds me of a similar attraction in Tommorow Land where you do the exact same thing, except you get a little more freedom in terms of making something unique. I made monstrosity of a blade with Darth Maul's staff as the base a Kylo Ren styled blade on one end that was colored purple and another Kylo Ren blade but it was green.

Yah $200.00 for what looks to be a bulky, fat, unwieldy lightsaber with not enough selectable options to be anywhere near worth the price. They seem like a metal version of the blade builders sabers.

I've been told it is very bulky and all authentic metal. This isn't plastic. Also, the blades are meant for harsh dueling. That means for whacking them very hard against things without them breaking.

I see a lot of people complaining about the cost... Plastic star wars ones for kids cost roughly 100$ but with this it looks metal, you actually put it together, and you have a whole show which makes the piece more special. Def not for everyone, but for true star wars fans this is a dream come true

zeekslider The public support in the TSA has been in the toilet for at least a decade. I honestly think that if TSA dared to start confiscating these expensive sabers that serve no ability to harm anyone it will be the tipping point for public support and voters will demand the organization be abolished and private security set in. The TSA knows their credibility is in the toilet and I don’t think they’ll cross that line but hey don’t ever underestimate the stupidity of stupid people.

@@Maniac536: The only reason I ask is because of, like I said in my original comment, the Cast at Disney Springs told me at check out that I had to dismantle my plastic lightsaber and put it in my check in back. They said that TSA will have issues with a toy that doesn't even look like a real weapon. Hell, my carry on bag was PULLED AND UNPACKED after I went to Wizarding World because the paint used in the wands you buy come up as glass in the X-ray scan!! Security thought I had three glass shivs in my backpack!! **facepalm** I'm lucky they let me keep them after they opened the boxes and realized they were wood.

@@matthewbarton7773 your hilt choice is prechosen though. Is why they got a button it tells the 'gatherers' which pieces you get presented with. Once you have your button and are in room you can't switch say from the sith power and control scheme to the jedi peace and justice set. And the 'spare' parts are not yours to keep either.
