Savinelli St. Nicholas 2023 606KS Rustic 9mm | Ideal for straight Virginia blends without the heat!!

I was searching for a quality briar pipe long enough to cool the heat of pure Virginia blends, in addition the option of a 9mm filter was important. This Savinelli St. Nicholas 606KS (in my case the 2023 model) is just about the perfect pipe I was searching for. The shape, length, gorgeous rustication, decorative white acrylic & silver rings on the beautiful stem & the 9mm filter option. Highly recommended for those who love straight Virginia blends & suffer from excessive heat or tongue bite, you would discover a very smooth smoking experience without the heat just pure taste of tobacco smoked on a very pleasing to the eye Savinelli pipe.
Pipe description
As per tradition, every year around Christmas Savinelli offers the St. Nicholas pipe. The year of 2023 pipe is characterized by a rusticated burgundy finishing and embellished with a white acrylic band enclosed by two thin silver rings. The acrylic stem is in mother-of-pearl blue colour.

Good Day. What a great pipe. As for break in, etc. I use my fathers age old method. Smoke it. I still have number of my father's pipes and some from Germany from my grandfather. None of them ever worried about break in. I firmly believe smoke and pack as what works for you.

As for your fathers advise, he is absolutely right but nowadays the "breaking in" has become a thing for many so in order to speed up the carbon cake process a bit of honey & some simple steps would satisfy even those picky on breaking-in a briar pipe. Keep an eye on the next or follow up uploaded video that i will discuss the very same subject.

Just purchased both of these Savinelli pipes in September at Sutliffs 175th. Will smoke the 2023 starting at Thanksgiving. Will put the 2024 under my Christmas tree.

I keep meaning to get one of those Xmas pipes, they really do pop. I’m currently smoking Sweet Vanilla Honeydew again it’s just a tobacco I’ve gone back to again and enjoying so much I’ve three 250g of it vacuum packed in fact I may have four Well it was on offer so I grabbed a few! Just love that pipe, you got my PAD kicking in again! Stop it😂

Hi Nathan enjoyed the video lovely pipe. I got myself my first St Nicholas Savinelli a few weeks ago. It’s this years model 2024 673ks model lovely smoker as are all my Savinellis the stem is an unusual colour but I have got used to it 😊I’ve yet to try a 9mm pipe as I’ve been using the balsa wood system filters in my 6mm’s that I enjoy very much. After breaking my new pipe by dropping it on its third smoke, I went to replace it today. Always painful on the wallet :(. But I picked up some of the Peterson flake while at the shop, and I’m looking forward to trying it too! Also prefer the 23 over the 24 Christmas savs. Might see if I can find one in a shape I like!

You did it again to me Nathan! I’ve treated myself to one. I’ve gone for the 623 6mm which I had my eye on since last year but never pulled the trigger on one until I started scouting around yesterday and I found one at GQ Tobaccos for £69.99!!! Yes £69.99!!! They are £107 at mysmokingshop and £108 at Cgars. I just could not resist at that price!
