Your math is off a bit. Suppose the cars ARE 500 lbs, that's empty. Add a driver and partner and that's another 500, at lest for me. Then add in a couple bags full of clubs, and the obligatory coolers of beer and you're probably at 1,100 lbs per cart. However despite the weight, golf car tires are not designed for much forward bite, so that's going to work against you. Handily they do have front and rear hitches, generally, so hooking them together is easy. So cyphering it all together, I'd say, for number of golf cars: "All of 'em!"
@countrymuch2017 Жыл бұрын
@@larrybolhuis1049 so the golf carts would have better traction on ?pavement? And the dozer would be at a disadvantage on such a hard flat surface as pavement - the arena is set it must be on a hard surface to level the playing field - I concur (all of them)

Those are scraper pan control's on the back. One lifts the bowl the other would lifft the bowl gate or apron as som called it. Once the gate was all the way up, the rear plunger would start forward to eject the load. You had to be extremely careful letting the plunger go back because it was under a great deal of tension from the weight of the gate. Let it go to quickly and it would hit the stops and drop the gate and the cable would snap and fly everywhere. Then you got to enjoyment of rethreading the entire thing. Guess how I know.

That TD20 E is the best dozer ever built. just be careful who operates it because the engine has more power than the drive train can handle. I maintained one of them for a company back in the seventies building ski areas in Vermont and New Hampshire.
@rp164511 ай бұрын
A big YES, ran a (175) front end Loader for a company I worked for in the late 70s. Mostly we had the ( 125) for sewer mainline backfill. But anyway the ( 175) filled the bucket to "OVERFLOW" I could NOT believe the power going forward into dirt. It just rolls over the top of the front bucket 😊 there was NO power loss on the engine. I ran a Case 680 Howe pack So I was not the guy running pea gravel to the pipe crew. He liked the Case 850 track loader better, because it was faster with the Case drive system. It was more like a wheel loader. We were running the sewer main in a very muddy none improved area of new developments. That gave me time on the (125) track loader. It was a power house all international heavy equipment was built sturdy. The LOCK up system was A+ for having a Battery lock out and DASH panel plate that was built bullet proof. Very strong machine 😊

Built and pioneered logging roads with it and built landings and used too move a Skagit 739 yarder big machine there was nothing could not stop it had a big carco single drum with a log arch mounted to the drum would pull a hell of turn of logs too the landing !! Had a semi u-blade would move mountains of rock and dirt one hell of a cat 3900 hours it blow a hydraulic line on the transmission and caught on fire and brunt to the ground !! Hello From Kentucky. Several years ago, we had a similar IH TD-20 bulldozer that had the grubbing blade and with a open station with no cab within the highway department that was used pretty extensively for many years for various jobs. I can remember fabricating radiator brackets for a slightly different radiator than the OEM radiator as well as lots of other welding that I performed. Our TD-20 was very worn, But still a very usable machine. Seems like the clutch packs needed to be rebuilt and once everything was replaced and the machine was in good working condition again, The dozer was turned in to be auctioned off. The smaller bulldozers that we had afterwards never did quite measure up to the TD-20. Congratulations on getting such a nice machine that sounds as good as it looks.

TD20 is a good machine, my dad bought a new TD20c to go mining in Alaska in 72 and he worked the hell out of it, built 10 miles of road, stripped numerous mining cuts before we had our first serious breakdown, the cross shaft in front of the sprocket, that the track frames pivot on, broke. aside from that the engine and machine itself was very reliable.

Those spools on the back look to me like they're for towed implements of any cable operations. Pan scrapers, towed cable graders, plows and such. They're too light duty looking to be anything that could be recovery winches. Plus they're not connected via cable routing to a front block set. That puts my guess at it's age to be right around mid seventies. Mainly because cable operated towed pieces really started falling out of service as soon as hydraulic flex hoses became strong enough to not blow out under pressure loads as demonstrated by I think, with a early hydraulic excavator. Compared to modern excavators, that first type was woefully slow and couldn't really run more than one function at a time because the pumps couldn't get the flow to really move the arm and tracks, or swing at the same time.

@dzrdr659 ай бұрын
Solid pin or salt pin?-- Look at the pin where it comes thru the link, if salt pin one side will have a plugged hole in every pin, standard pins are all flat across except the master pin which has a dimple do distinguish it from all the rest.@@dieseJL
@dzrdr659 ай бұрын
Which chain? standard or salt. salt chains have a plug in each pin allowing lubrication at assembly. If this style pull plug, lubricate with oil and work it till lube sinks in. NO heat as there are plastic seals supposed to keep lube in. If standard chain heat moderatly, work it loose and oil the hell out of it. Either way once it works loose needs to be used reguarly otherwise rust will just set back in. Had a TD40 with salt chains and failed seals had to grease monthly for the pins that had bad seals. Had a couple of TD25 with standard chains seize and rip the finals out. Work the link against the drive sprocket with a 1 or 1.5 " pin between the sprocket and low point of the seized chain. Will need to alternate as the set of the chain changes with force. Do not force all the way around the sprocket, only 2 o3 teeth with a proper tension on the chain. Work it back and forth. Takes an afternoon either way. Good luck.@@dieseJL
