This project illustrates the true value of creative flipping. A worn out very inexpensive original is transformed and given a truly classy second career. The eventual value is dominated by the flipping treatment. This is to be contrasted with a new high class artistic opportunity which is based upon the highest class original.

Back in the day, I worked all manner of technical theatre/backstage tasks, from sewing costumes, running props, lighting-anything but acting! You have the class and the brass to do very well on stage. I don’t see any sign of you turning into a prima donna. You sparkle in your own natural way, and you’re serious enough to really throw yourself into your role and into the whole production. Break a leg!

I'm relieved you did not replace the handles as they look almost "custom" for the dresser. If you look at the bottom of the handles = bottom curve of the dresser. The top of the handles = horizontal lines of the dresser. Smart colour choice too, makes the handles pop, which they deserve to.

Hi,Andy. Another beautiful piece rescued. I'm glad that you featured a plastic laminated dresser as they are very common and inexpensive. I've wondered if the faux wood laminate could be sanded and painted successfully or not. The drawer pulls looked great after you cleaned and painted them. It was amazing how much crud was covering all of the metal details. As always; your eye for colours was spot on. I do like the matte finish of the chalk paint and how well it covers the wood. I'm not a fan of highly polished furniture unless it's a real antique and period appropriate polish is used. In some ways I'm a conservative purist,but I also like to see a surprise splash of colour or fun drawer liners. It's not hard to tell that you are a fun loving artist who is willing to try new things and enjoys the journey of a new experience. I think you did a fabulous job on this dresser and your pricing is correct. I wish that you could see my projects in waiting. I would value you suggestions. Deathly curious about the specifics. 😀 I remember preparing for my first recital, in my voice lessons. I sang "Drink to me only with thine eyes" (To Cecilia). It's not a dreadfully, dreadfully difficult piece, but... My voice teacher was an opera singer, so she prepared me well. I was still incredibly nervous. But you kind of live in that world, so it's probably a bit easier for you. The dresser is gorgeous. I think you made the right choice with the gold pulls. Also, that blue flowered shirt you're wearing is suspiciously reminiscent of a couple of furniture pieces you've done, no? 😉 Thanks again for being who you are and sharing all this wonderfulness with us!

Absolutely stunning, as usual, Andy! I love the color and now that you said the pulls look like the alien monster, I can't unsee it. But after you cleaned them up they do resemble whimsical bows. That is an amazing color, it looks soft. Like if you touched it it would feel like fabric. I will say though, you brightened my day, I could listen to you sing show tunes all day!
