@ordinaryrat TNO paths always end at the climax. There is no fulfilling end. The US especially. Even in the "extremist" paths of Yockey and Hall, you only do "democratic" stuff. They, as presidents, only have a hundred days of content.

It's largely due to the civil rights reform as very briefly mentioned in the beginning, due to the token nature of the reforms President RFK would be seen as too conservative by progressives and too progressive by conservatives. Overall by towing the middle line RFK didn't manage to make both sides like him but rather made them both disillusioned with his government.

FDR actually slowed down the recovery of the great depression. The only reason why America managed to recover and have its economy skyrocket was due to the second world war which reduced employment to near zero.

Most economists these days agree that FDR's agencys caused the extension of the great depression by 8 years. This isnt to be a surpirse as the goverment throwing out money to people has never worked before, so it should not be a surprise it didnt work with him, the only reason people think it was because of him was because it looked like he was doing something. In reality Hoovers plan was better, until he started "trying to do something" as well. The great depression we got was literally the worst it could have possibly been without trying, in reality it could have mostly been avoided if we just allowed the markets to correct themselves, such as the Federal Reserve eliminating interest rates and lowereing taxes on unrealized gains.

@@Tno_is_a_great_modit’s not that they don’t achieve what they say they will do, it’s that they can’t, they wants a legacy just like any others but politics is very divided, if you don’t have a majority in both the house and senate you can’t get most of your platform done these days. Bi-partisanship is rare and not a lot of things are agreed upon anymore, politic is polarized and more about not letting your opponent win than getting stuff done.
