Vertical speed you change with nose up and nose down button, just right of the button where you turn in vertical speed mode.

@ Also if you want to make big money in career, save up to start a company. At 25k credits it unlocks. I make more than 25k credits now per simple short sight seeing mission.

If I may make a suggestion - research V speeds, especially Vx and Vy. Each aeroplane has it's own performance speeds, which are important to the safe and efficient operation. C172 you should be climbing at an airspeed of 60ktas (Vx, which is best angle for close in obstacles) or 76ktas (Vy, which is best rate). Vy is what you would generally use. If you climb at 100, 110 ktas as you do, your verical speed is going to be non-existent and it will always take you forever to reach desired altitude. Climbing in VS mode is dangerous, because it offers no stall protection - your AP will keep pitching to try and maintain set V/S, effectively trimming the nose higher and higher up, bleeding the airspeed until stall. When you climb, you set full power, your pitch for the desired airspeed until you reach altitude/FL you want to be at.

You're always welcome to, I will do that today! That is a ton of useful information. In future streams I tend to use FLC mode more, and I used the v speed that is 74 notes, but I didnt know what the other v speeds ment though so I appreciate that!

You need to do the first mission off a new mission type, to unlock that type of mission on the map. That is why it is marked in gold.

@@jcembrey59 thank you for providing that resource! Just getting used to saying the right things while also focusing on the career aspect and chat is a challenging thing to learn. I have flown successfully on VATSIM so I know some of the phraseology, I'm no expert though!
