Amen to that…”Texas full sun” is a whole other beast not explained on your big box plant store tags. I found out the hard way. But I’m in Central Texas and yes, we do get those brutal 100+ sunny days that seem to go on forever, but my in-ground plumies do fine. Probably because of our irrigation system. They’ve adapted. I take them out of the ground in late fall, clean off and keep in the garage for a long winter’s nap. I always pit up the smaller ones though in case I lose some bare root plants.

If I have a plumeria in the pot, in the flowerbed I take a bamboo cane and drive it down into the pot, through a drain hole of the pot and drive it into the ground. Winds, no problemo!

Wondering why you didn't seal off the ends after you cut them, to prevent fungus? I use cinnamon but a friend uses wood glue

I have a big cutting that i want to plant 10 inches deep to make it more stable in the pot. I heard you shouldn't plant too deep or else it can rot. Have you noticed any issues with planting cuttings deep? Or as far as you can tell, no issues with burying large cuttings 10 inches or so ubder dirt?

How deep will you plant the new cuttings after they have scabbed over? I have a really large plant i need to cut back, but didn’t know how to plant them. Thanks for all the information

It really depends. I try to get at least 6 inches in the ground.

Ohhh someone gave me a couple plumeria cuttings and they said don't plant it deep at all which is why they keep falling over.

You can buy them online. Just be sure to read seller reviews. I have three plumeria. One given to me as a gift from my employer and two from my niece. All three came directly from Hawaii! They are beautiful!! I made cuttings and gave two of them to my sister and three to a friend. 🪴🌸
