Hi. I also have a lot of usable wood that gets rained on. I hope to get it sorted next year. Like you, I hate working in the rain. You've arranged those plywood sheets nicely. Stay healthy.

Never found a way to store wood outside in this country. Tarps or plastic make condensation under them, and ambient air moisture is enough to keep the wood too wet. Mold starts and rot is not far behind. Only way that I have found to work is build a shed with roof and open lap siding so the air goes through. Plastic works for a few months if you keep it up off the wood but any longer is taking a gamble and price of wood today is like gold!! Today's plywood is so full of voids and the glue so poor that I would put that older stuff in my bedroom if I had to to save it!

Everything wants to go back to dirt, faster in this country. I stack and sticker my fresh milled wood put it off the ground on 6x6s. We have hoarded old metal roofing and I make covers for the lumber stacks keeping the metal off the lumber with 4x4 or 6x6s. Once the lumber has dried for a season I'll cover the whole thing with a tarp making sure it doesn't sit on the wood directly and allows air to circulate. Even in a building, if it's unheated, moisture wins.
